to ask u IF you voted, nothing wrong with that. to ask you WHO you voted for... only if he treated u differently after telling him. or if he insisted that he tell you who you voted for. that's an HR complaint. not a serious one but ur work environment could change.
So long as they aren't probing as to WHO you voted I'd say its fine. Most people ask if another voted cause they are lazy and are like subconsciously often like "should I even bother..."

Just say "no". You go home, play pokemon, and eat cheetos and that's all you do. Tell him that. Be like, "hol up... they had VOTING?" Like, play really dumb. They're probably trying to sus out who you voted for, so they can fire you.
Not only did I ask my executive assistant if she voted I also gave her a bonus for voting. She did. I have no idea who she voted for because she and I never discuss politics. Not one thing wrong with that question. However, that is where the subject should end. If you have a manager who goes past this I suggest recording them and reporting them to the proper people. This BS has NO PLACE in the workplace!!!
Your manager can ask, but you don't have to answer. You can say, "That's personal, I'd rather not reveal whether I voted... or if I did vote, who I voted for."
By law, employers have to allow enough off time for their employees to vote. He's just following up. Now if he asked you *how* you voted, that would be illegal.
Nope, voting is one's privacy and should remain private.
I mean if it’s small talk and your comfortable taking about it go for it if not just say you don’t want to discuss it.
I do not see how that would be any of the manager's business.
Nothing wrong with that.
It's legal, but no I don't think it's aporopriate.
It's not only inappropriate, it's illegal.
Yes she’s just curious
Just a friendly conversation. Nothing wrong
I see nothing wrong with that.
Lol he's a liberal
