I did this, when I was about 8.. and they all laughed at me, the teacher didn't help much either. I remember feeling absolutely humiliated!! 🥺😔💔

Yes I did that. You're lucky. I even called my male coaching teacher as 'Papa'. I mean that day he wore a shirt exactly same as the one my dad has and his haircut is same like my dad. So if you look at him from back them he looked just like my dad (except the fact that my dad have a cute Santa Claus stomach and a bit short heighted and the teacher is tall and fit. I'm talking about the upper portion here, both have almost same shoulder width). I called him Papa when he was scribbling something on the smart board with his back turned towards the students.
