Be honest, have you ever lost your temper with an employee who made a mistake?

Not usually but there are some businesses where it seems like they perpetually have new employees who are screwing up.
When that happens I will give them six months or so to get some experience and do better, often though six months later it is someone else that is new.
No real point getting angry with person who is helping you, that is why you need to ask for a supervisor to rip into them.
Generally though, I simply ask for them to correct it and IF it cost me extra time or money due to their mistake that they reimburse me. If they refuse that is when I get angry with them, as I have now given them a chance to correct the problem and make it up.
A few simple examples;
If I go through the drive in at a fast food place and they get my order wrong, now that I'm home... I call them, ask them to fix it. They can either give me a refund, a gift card, reimburse me for gas and time if I need to travel back for them to fix it.
I live 45 miles outside of the city. If they won't answer the phone or refuse to fix it, I simply contact my credit card company and explain they failed to deliver on what was promised and I have in good faith reached out to them to correct the problem and they refused. They then proceed to start the charge back process.
I have got a lot of money back this way when they make mistakes but no need to get angry over it.
In another case, I paid cash for a auto part from a dealership, that didn't work (big mistake) I returned it and they had no cash to refund me, they said they would cut me a check to come back the next day. This was several hundred dollars to be refunded.
I went back the next day, no check...5 times later and two weeks later, still no check. I asked them for extra money with the check for the extra 10 hours I have now spent driving back and forth and gas money.
They refused, I totally lost it... told them it only takes 5 minutes to get a check and they started making excuses.
I told them to all fuck off and die lots of other worse things. I told them I was not leaving without my money and they threatened to call the police on me and I said just give my damn money back and I will NEVER EVER give my business to them again and I will let everyone else know what they did, problem solved. They told me to leave and not come back.
I asked for the parts back that I returned, they also refused as they had sold them to someone else now.
I felt like they simply wanted me to forget about the money and they were hoping I would give up and stop coming back.
Now is that a mistake or incompetence's or intentional?

I'm curious. What State did this happen in. Everyone acts like things like this happen in California and no other State.
I am really sick of people saying California is the only State where bad things happen.
And, oh, never in Florida would someone treat you that way because living in Florida is the next best place to be next to heaven!
@sage2021 It was in Utah and that dealership has gone out of business since and a new one opened up in its spot. I suspect they simply didn't have 'cash' in the bank to cut a check and that is why they kept delaying it.
I say there can be bad customer experiences in any state... depends on the business.
No, I never have. I'm in a business that requires good people skills, and I have a wide zone of tolerance for people. That includes my own employees. Mistakes happen, just correct the problem, and let me know what I need to do to help (does the employee need more training, more help?). And if someone is being a shithead, I don't reciprocate in kind.
Always talk nice to the shitheads.

Yesnt. Not sure if this fits your question but its close enough in my opinion to be worth mentioning, other than that no.
I did get really mad because it was not the first mistake but one in a series of mistakes by that company. It was a heating system company. So after not having warm water for days and repeatedly handymen coming to "fix" it (nothing of this worked) They decided to tell us, that and I quote the employee here "this model is too new, our boss hasn't ordered our schooling for this new heating system yet. non of our workers knows how it works but the boss sells it anyway."
At this point I couldnt hold it anymore. I wasn't angry at him but at the boss and that finally the 4th worker is telling that important information was too much. I was sorry for that specific one and I didn't get personal with him but I hope he told this his company and boss what he had to endure with me.
No. But it's easy for me to keep my cool with strangers because I just don't care about things as much. Similar to when normal adults play games like Monopoly. Reasonable people would understand that it's just a game & that it shouldn't really matter much. If things don't go my way, oh well. Nothing is ever easy in life. People aren't being nice? Ehh, it happens. All this is inevitable.
But let's hypothesize that I have temper issues. I'd still keep them under wraps because I know the way that humans operate. If people feel like you're being disrespectful towards them, they'll complicate things like hell for you. So I'd know that I'd be better off keeping my cool so that more obstacles don't come my way & make things worse than they already are.
No , never. I work in IT and my philosophy is if you don't make a mistake once in a while you are not doing it right. If one of my guys goofed off a lot or was disrespectful to another employee I would get angry. One of my guys berated one of the secretaries and made her cry. It was really the only time I ever reamed out somebody.
No but in my head im kinda mad that they dont know what they r doing. Its mostly those types of girls who r there for the money and the chatting.
Mistake? No. The only employees I've lost my patience with are those deliberately obstructing me.
No, because I use to work in retail/customer service. If anything, I try to help them.
No.
I might get annoyed but I don't lose my temper with them.
If I did, it was so long ago that I don't remember.
No and I don't think I ever would.
I try to be patient but it can be hard.
I went off on one the other day
Ohhhh yeah
Genuinely no.
Never.
