2. Is accelerated graduate programs worth it? It’s faster, but do they cut on quality?
3. I have a 2.83 gpa. Graduated 3 years ago. Are they flexible on that 3.0 minimum?
What type of field? MS / Engineering degree, or PhD? Is your plan to go to industry or work in academia? Is the goal to improve your job prospects, or just to learn more?
I have a PhD in a technical field, so I may be able to comment there. I probably can't provide useful advice in a non-techincal field
If I were hiring someone, I'd look very carefully at online degrees to see if they really are up to standards, while a regular degree from a well known school wouldn't concern me. I'm not sayin I wouldn't hire someone with a Purdue Global degree - just that I'd be slightly skeptical.
I'm old - so its not easy to get out of that mindset - but many managers are old as well.
I realize I really don't have much useful to say. My field (science) is so different.
The problem from the hiring manager's end is that they may get a huge stack of applications for a position - all claiming to have the right qualifications (but many people simply lie). So the manager looks for some way to reduce the number they have to look at in detail, and people with degrees from known universities may end up on the top of the list
Live instruction is better than an on line college. I suspect that people will just put "Perdue University" on their resume so if all you want is the piece of paper I suppose it doesn't matter.
