All of my team and I started off by wearing the same uniform and now, our uniforms have changed.

My manager wears a light blue shirt, I wear a navy blue shirt with orange on the sides and all of my team wears just a plain navy blue shirt.

I did show my expression of interest in advancing my career to my manager already and my manager is very well aware of my career aspirations.

What are your thoughts? 😊

They would have told you if you got promoted. They can't just promote without asking either, even if the person expressed desire to before, they would still have to formally discuss it

You aren't a supervisor unless they tell you that you're a supervisor. But symbology counts for a lot. Show you deserve it and it may become official.

Other employees can't help but notice. If you are going to supervise people, what kind of supervisors will you be? Maybe ease into it until it becomes official.

I don't know what kind of license it is, but licenses open doors. They are good to have on you resume.

If you get promoted, I think the company will have a clear notice and letter of appointment, otherwise everything is still under review or there are no vacancies.

Exactly, management aren't going to give you a different colour without telling you why unless it's a bad thing and if you don't question it with them, you're just showing your not management material.
