How long it takes to learn a language?

Iam studying italian and if i move in Italy, live there for 6 months and interact with the local daily, how long it takes me to be very good at conversation level ! And how long it takes to be good at reading italian literature? I know basic Italian and speak a little bit but i still need to think when i tried to speak it

depends on how much your practice and how you practice. also if you're latino it will be a lot quicker than if you just know English.

might seem daunting but like 300h for ex of studying is just like 12 full days of studying. so if you work hard especially with the immersion and everything might be pretty quick

Basic communications about 2 years of full time studying and practicing in Italy.

academic level… 4-6 years. To be able to read and write well enough while studying full time and practicing with a professional.

It took 6 years for me to become talented at English and I came to Canada when I was 4 years old. I would imagine it might take 18 years for me to learn Hebrew.

And little kids learn faster than adults ….
I learned 2 years of mandarin in high school , and the only thing i know is how to go to the toilet. I’ll probably spend 22 years learning hebrew
