Is life generally a big competition?

Some people have it better than others. Of course I have experience misery in my life but certainly not as bad as many other people. I was born with perfect, hearing, perfect sight and all limbs fully attached and grown normally. I still have all of these things as well. Some people get into accident or catch illness which makes them lose their sight, hearing or limbs later in life.

Now I certainly wouldn’t consider myself very pretty based on looks but I have seen a lot of other girl and women in my life who I personally thought were worse looking than me.

I wasn’t born into a poor family. I was born with non-violent and mentally sane parents.

I did experience a bit of bullying at school but I think it’s likely like 99 percent of people have in their lifetime.
I was never picked on by any guys I found physically attractive. I was only picked on by guys I found physically unattractive.

I have also had some bad experiences with other females but none of these women were ever better than me when it came to things like intelligence, empathy, control anger, and living a happier life. They were probably just envious my life was happier than their own life.

Capitalism can certainly make it feel that way, but no. Success is defined differently by everyone, as is joy. If you see life as a competition, you’re just going to feel like you’re always a loser bc there will always be someone better or doing more than you.

LMFAO at the person trying to put the issue of competition on to "capitalism." Because there was NEVER any competition in the many, many millenia BEFORE capitalism emerged. And as we all know there is absolutely NO competition in nature.

How are people actually this stupid?

Anyway, to answer your question yes--life is a VERY competitive game. It's also a cooperative one. You're usually doing a LOT of both of those things at once. But most important is defining what goal you're trying to achieve.

Look at your job as an example, and how competitive you are with everyone there. But that means nothing to me, because I have nothing to do with those people or your work, so zero competitiveness for me and the rest of the world. For the things you worry about every day.
