If the teacher has clearly established a policy regarding extra credit, and bringing tissue boxes is included, then it is likely considered ethical.
But I have to ask why tissue boxes?
One of my high school teachers gave extra credit for tissue boxes.
I don't consider it ethical because you are able to buy a bit of your grade. Grade should be based on ones understanding of the subject.
I hated when teachers would do that. Like what about the kids who are to poor to afford tissues? They just get fucked on not getting extra credit
I agree.
The ethics of giving extra credit for bringing tissue boxes can be debated. It's important to consider the intention behind this practice. If it's meant to provide necessary classroom supplies while motivating responsibility, it might be acceptable. However, it can also blur the line between learning achievements and material contributions, possibly disadvantaging students unable to contribute. Ensuring equitable access to extra credit opportunities related to academic effort would be more ethical. Providing a variety of ways for students to earn credit based on learning and participation rather than material contributions would be ideal.

Can't give academic points without academic achievement! That is fraud.
A kid failed all their tests but i give a pass grade because he wore his shirt? Same for any non academic points.
My 9th Grade English High School teacher offered extra credit for tissue boxes. I remember bringing up my concern to a school counselor, and they didn't seem to understand why I was bothered by it. This was one of the top high schools in the state in a rich neighborhood.
No because some kids' parents might not be able to afford it or might not be willing to do it.
Works in favor for the child
