Whether you have a shower curtain or door, the question is...
When the shower is not in use, what do you do?
Do you keep it fully closed, partially open or fully open? Or something else?
Some contend it should be kept at least partly open to allow the shower to dry out, while others contend it should be kept closed for aesthetic reasons.

Whether it is a shower door or curtain, it should remained fully closed so that the interior surface of the door or curtain can dry completely. More important when it is a curtain, as they are prone to mildew.
Curtains need to be drawn closed, or the moisture between the folds causes mildew. I don’t think it matters as much with doors, except that an open shower stall door can impose on what is often an already limited space. Out of habit, i keep them mostly closed too.
I leave it open. There are a couple reasons. One is that I share the a jack and jill bathroom with my younger brother. For people that don't know, that's the type between our bedrooms where we each have an entrance.
He always knocks first and I keep the inside doors locked, but if I forget for some reason then if it is closed we know to turn around.
Other reason is it just dries quicker. The shower, tub and the curtain if you leave it open a bit.
closed when not in use with the exception of the few hours after a shower... leave it open to let iy dry
Open. So you know there's no Hitchcock character behind the curtain holding a knife. Although I'm giving the plot a little twist.
I have a door and leave it open. I like to avoid mold.
doors have to remain closed...
otherwise, it bothers me... same with curtains
We have no door or curtain. It is just a large open area.
Closed. If you leave the curtain (at least) open, the water on it can form mold while the folds are bunched together.
Fully closed, which allows it to no be bunched up so it can dry properly and not mildew.
If it isn't see through, it should be open so you can check if Jason Voorhees is in there.
my wife makes me close the curtain. I think because when it stays bunched up , mold can grow on it.
Downstairs shower- open. Upstairs tub- Closed.
Open. In hotels it's always open
Open It shows it’s clean.
Fully closed I would think so.
Closed.
