Tomorrow will mark exactly 3 months since I have been unemployed in my industry. I am a talented web applications developer, skilled in a multitude of technologies. I can create fullstack solutions from frontend to backend all the way to deployment. I have stunned previous employers and recruiters with my skills and abilities. Sadly, the job market in my industry has taken a depressing and devastating hit.
It took me 6 months to find my last role. By the grace of God, I was able to secure my last role. The person who hired me told me I aced the interview process with flying colors and he was looking for a candidate for over a year, and I was "his guy". Sadly, the company I worked for had several mass layoffs in my very short tenure there, and I was affected.
The job market has proven to still be in a dire state. This is what one person on linkedin wrote that is circulating:

I remember back during the Obama era when my dad lost his job. We almost lost everything as a family. I am hoping people will eventually learn a lesson here.
