m 5 mothe most important quality a teacher should have is flexibility...

and I don't mean this kind of flexibility, lol... what I mean is that, they should be able recognize and address the few different ways in which different students will understand or learn about certain topics of subjects and also should be willing to apply them when needed...

5 moShe should be an outside the box thinker, my youngest daughter was in 1st grade , and try as she might , the alphabet escaped her. We'd study every evening, she'd have it down,15 mins later , couldn't remember what followed B.
When I spoke to the principal about it , asking if they could not advance her, I was told no, when I then asked if the alphabet wasn't more or less the key to being able to read any of the text books in the future. " oh well I'm confident she will eventually learn to read. It was the last week of school and my daughter lefthome not looking forward to the spelling final.
When I got home from work , she was sitting on the porch, jumped up and ran up tome with some papers. She held them out and thelook of pride in her eyes made my eyes moisten, the spelling test was 100 percent right A
The following morning I drove her to school , and went into to speak with her teacher.
It turned out my little girl, didn't learn by reading, but , If she wrote it in the air she had it cold. If it hadn't been for that teachers dedication, experience , and knowledge Ihave no doubt my daughter's educational experience would have been less then joyous.42 Reply- 5 mo

Patience. Some kids take time to learn and sometimes you'll have to try different methods to teach kids in the way they would find it easier to understand. Many kids are also very naughty and some have very short attention span so I'd patience is something that you definitely need if you want to be a teacher and other than that I'd say trying different approaches, try to understand kids rather than judge when they behave strangely or fail. Try to guide them. Make them feel comfortable rather than fear you. Kids can respect you even without being afraid of you.
So, yeah, I think you'll need -
- Patience
- Different approaches/strategies to make sure whatever you're teaching doesn't go over their head
- Be understanding at times and be supportive. So, they won't be afraid of you but will come to you if they need help regarding studies or some other issues they can't express at home.
30 ReplyJustice between all the students in all cases... asking the students about there day and how are they doing... setting classroom rules... letting the student say something in a very normal way without getting mad or taking it upon ego if he/she is going against you in some way because it is possible for a teacher to be wrong too at times... appropriate dressing... should always consider himself/herself as a learner

The best teacher is the one who feels fulfilled when their students succeed
Many teachers don’t care or even secretly want students to fail in order to feel like their subject is so difficult20 ReplyRecognize that not every student wants to go to college. Some kids really do hate school and want nothing to do with another four years of it. Also recognize the students that really aren’t getting your shit you’re forcing down their throats and never tell a parent “he could do so much better if he’d just apply himself” like all teachers say
