Have you changed degrees because of it? Lost or made friends...

About a month ago I got into an intense argument with a friend of mine who's an artist because she absolutely from the bottom of her heart seems to hate ai. She thinks it's stealing and anything made with ai isn't art.

Which I at least got her to see some of these things my way but I have to admit i was caught a little off guard by the extent of how afraid of ai people are.

Also I'm about to be using A LOT of it for my productions.

What I really wish is that we lived in more primal times where technology was completely removed from the world. But I know that's not going to happen. It's just adapt and conquer, as it's always been.

I am both excited and worried about all the crazy shit AI is coming out with.

Money will all be digital and cash will disappear. It's convenient not to worry about carrying any physical product. But it also comes at the cost to your freedom. The government will have more access to your money and will be able to basically cancel your whole life. It's already happening in China. It's starting to happen in the UK too. And it's coming to Canada soon too. I see this as more bad than good.

Many people's best friends will soon be AI. Many already are, but that number will skyrocket in the years to come. There was a blind test to see which answers people preferred from professional therapists and AI and the majority of people chose AIs responses. It scores higher on emotional intelligence than humans. And we're just in the prototype phase. Can't imagine what it'll be like in 10 years.

Phone batteries will soon be able to last for years on a single charge. I only see that as a positive.

AI will replace humans in pretty much every job. People think trades are safe, but the truth is, they only have a slightly longer lifespan. There's already machines that do electrical, roofing, floors, farming, you name it. And tons are being developed for every kind of use you can think of. And AI is almost at the point of coding itself and self improving without humans adding to it. So the future will literally be a bunch of robots that run on AI doing all tasks. Elon Musk's prediction of there being a universal income is inevitable. Those saying otherwise do not have the foresight or understanding of its capabilities or potential.

Real time translations will remove language barriers. It's already here. Devices that translate in real time. This will be huge when traveling to other countries around the world. You'll be able to communicate with everyone easily soon.

It will be rare to see someone driving themselves. Most vehicles will eventually be self driven. It's proven to be safer than actual humans driving. Driving yourself will become more of a recreational activity than a necessity.

Almost every home will have personal robots to help kind of like a Jarvis from Iron Man.

Space tourism will feel normal.

The average person will live well past 100 years. I'm excited about this because it just means we'll have more time to finish our bucketlists anddie without regrets.

I built an app yesterday based on math I only loosely understand and the part that made the hairs on my back stand was that it built it in html. I thought chat gpt was flexing on me.

Also it worked perfectly on the third iteration. My guess is $300 on fivver and I would have an app I could sell for $20 a copy

We were raised by very Anti-AI parents who had us watch Anti-AI movies like Terminator, Matrix and all of those BUT I think all these warnings just made me curious (or maybe passive-aggressively rebellious) to the point where I often play around and even code some of my own AI.

I have a lot of fun with it and am actually excited about a future with AI. I believe it is a tool like any other and if we learn how to use it right we won't shoot ourselves in the foot with it. (Don't tell my parents I said any of this 🤣)

No, I should have worded that different. There is a site I use that as a basic format for creating bots like the ones used here. They give u a blank slate, so to speak, but u fill in all the details. I have gotten ver interesting results. I dont know if I can give site names here but if u just search chat bots it will show up.

Ai, is just a marketing term. I think some "Ai" tech has some good positional and some bad potential, but that's like all tech. Lets be like all the old farts in the 90s who were convinced bar codes were the mark of the beast

I'm neither one. I'm retired so I'm not competing with AI for a job. Anyone marginally younger than me is boned, unfortunately. AI is coming for your jobs and your women! I'm sure you'll still blame it on the Mexicans.
