I’m autistic and I work in an autism school. I’ve been working there since October of last year and I am isolated. At first people were nice and enjoyed talking to me but after a while they have changed. They look at me different, they stop talking to me often and some of them are kind of rude to me. Some can tell that I was a bit different. I hope no one said to my coworkers that I’m autistic, because I certainly did not tell them. It was some kids say something off about me. Stopped talking. I was like, “Morning ladies. How are you?” No response. I asked again and Carl no response. Yesterday, we’re all joking around after the students left. I said a sarcastic remark but people stopped laughing, looked at me at shocked, got up, grabbed their things and left. I asked what did I do. No response.
