A Japanese all-female power metal band from Osaka, formed in 2008 by guitarist Yoshi and vocalist Rami. After a few member changes, they released their debut EP Dear Slave the following year and soon after formed their own record label,
2. BABYMETAL
Even in Western countries you should have heard of Babymetal by now because their popularity is still rising. They are a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal band. Originally consisting of Suzuka Nakamotoas "Su-metal", Yui Mizuno as "Yuimetal", and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal", the band was formed with the concept of a fusion of the heavy metal and Japanese idol genres. The band is managed by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation played by the Kami Band during live performances.
1. BAND-MAID
Lesser known than Babymetal and Aldious, BAND-MAID is definitely worth paying attention to because of their focus on solid heavy metal and an amazing bass player. The powerful bass lines can definitely be heard in the song "Dice" featured bellow.
They even played an April Fool's joke on fans by pretending to change their name to BAND-MAIKO with a damn good song "secret MAIKO lips"
