Alright, I looked through many lists to jog my memory and some plucked from the memory banks and here it is folks, magic music from a magic music man :)
To start this is for those that grew up with the Disney Channel, maybe secretly still watching it :) half of my songs come from it :)
But I am not looking at those old songs :) I am looking at the retakes on old ones :)

But really, I love Meaghan Martin's :)
It has a great feel and rock theme to the new one. Don't get me wrong I love the old one but I love the new one slightly better.

I love the original song but the remake has a little extra happy poppyness and its girls this time around.

4. Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf/KSM (1968)
Ok, so Both songs are great and it is so cool to finally look at the lyrics because they are fun but KSM gives it a kick and these girls kick a## they have their own brand of kind of punk rock and they just make the song feel so good

I include drew for effect but I clearly like the original the best, you can just fall into it and get lost in the melody, lyrics and flow of the song

6. Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks (1975)
In that video Stevie says "This is a song about an old welsh witch" mic drop

7. Listen To The Magic Man - Celine Dion (1985)
This one is a tough sell, first off, "cough cough" Celine Dion was a singer before Titanic and in 1985 she did this very very not well known song in 1985 from a movie called the Peanut Butter solution
It is a upbeat and fun song that helps you relax and unwind and get ready for young Celine, it is a little shocker :)

8. Puff the Magic Dragon - Peter Paul and Mary (1963)
This is great song; it is so magical but ends up leaving magic left to imagination which is a sad finish one lyric I choose to ignore but it does not change the fact that we control the magic in our lives and we can tell it to go away or keep it and treasure it like Jackie should have done to puff in this song. While it is about imaginary friends, I think the song can mean more than that. and here's how I remember puff the magic dragon.
9. The Magic Dance - David Bowie (1986)
This one is pretty self explanatory for those that know Jim Henson's the Labyrinth. It is fun to watch and just fun to listen to.

10. When you Wish Upon Star - Cliff Edwards aka Jiminy Cricket (1940)
Ok, so I thought, if any one knows magic its Disney. So what song best captures this magic? When you wish upon a star. But you are like, Johnathan, there is no magic in it. See that is where you are wrong. The song inspires believing in the unbelievable and hoping in something greater than your current situation. It is Disney's anthem and its easy to see why.
