15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

Jjpayne

Here are another 15 love songs that I personally enjoy. Now as a disclaimer, this time around I am claiming that these songs may involve love just different kinds of love, it can and could involve temporary love and love lost as well as love being fought for. They are still love songs, they just take on different forms of love. These songs are also not in order just simply numbered.. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s get started!

1. Who Loves You- Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons (1975)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is a great upbeat song and it is not about a love that is but a love that could be.

“Who loves you?
Who loves you, pretty baby?
Who's gonna love you, mama?
Who loves you?
Who loves you, pretty baby?
When tears are in your eyes and you can't find the way
It's hard to make believe you're happy when you're gray
Baby, when you're feelin' like you'll never see the mornin' light
Come to me
Baby, you'll see”

2. Never Gonna Let You Go- Sergio Mendes (1983)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This song is a song about second chances and knowing that you messed up but you want a chance to prove yourself again. And it is so passionate!

“You and me, we're gonna be better than we were before
Loved you then but now I intend
To open up and love you even more
This time, you can be sure
I'm never gonna let you go
I'm gonna hold you in my arms forever
Gonna try and make up for all the times
I hurt you so
Gonna hold your body close to mine
From this day on, we're gonna be together
Oh, I swear this time
I'm never gonna let you go”

3. Old Fashioned Love Song- Three Dog Night (1971)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is a lighter song about love likely during a dating relationship, it is playful and just fun to listen to!

“Just an old fashioned love song
One I'm sure they wrote for you and me
Just an old fashioned love song
Coming down in three part harmony
To weave our dreams upon and listen
To each evening when the lights are low
To underscore our love affair with tenderness
And feeling that we've come to know
You'll swear you've heard it before
As it slowly rambles on and on
No need in bringing 'em back
'Cause they've never really gone”

4. Got My Mind Set On You- George Harrison (1987)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is a pretty repetitive song but I could listen to it all day! You don’t know actually who he is talking about but you can tell that he has his mind set on them 😊

“But it's gonna take money
A whole lot of spending money
It's gonna take plenty of money
To do it right, child
It's gonna take time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, um
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right, child
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you”

5. I Love You Always Forever -Donna Lewis (1996)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

I could get so lost in this song. It is just fun and light hearted to listen to.

“I love you always forever
Near and far closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you
I love you always forever
Near and far closer together
Everywhere I will be with you
Everything I will do for you
You've got the most unbelievable blue eyes I've ever seen
You've got me almost melting away
As we lay there under blue sky with pure white stars
Exotic sweetness a magical time”

6. You’re Still The One- Shania Twain (1997)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is a great song about the values of lasting love and sticking out through the good times and the bad. Another passionate love song.

“Looks like we made it
Look how far we've come my baby
We mighta took the long way
We knew we'd get there someday
They said "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong
You're still the one I run to
The on that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one)
You're still the one I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night”

7. You Were Meant for Me- Jewel (1996)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is a song about hopes for a lost love that will come back. You just really get her emotion and it is really descriptive for what she is doing in the moment.

“Dreams last for so long
Even after you're gone
I know you love me
And soon you'll see
You were meant for me
And I was meant for you”

8. How Do I Live- Leann Rimes (1997)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is another passionate song and I think more of a song that is begging for the man to stay.

“How do I get through one night without you
If I had to live without you
What kinda life would that be
Oh I need you in my arms, need you to hold
You are my world, my heart, my soul
If you ever leave
Baby you would take away
Everything good in my life
And tell me now
How do I live without you?
I want to know
How do I breathe without you?
If you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive
How do I, how do I, oh how do I live”

9. For Baby (For Bobbie)- John Denver (1972)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is such a sweet song and it reminds me of Elton John’s your song. It is all about that one girl and writing a song for her.

“I'll walk in the rain by your side
I'll cling to the warmth of your hand
I'll do anything to keep you satisfied
I'll love you more than anybody can”
“I'll be there when you're feeling down
To kiss away the fears if you cry
I'll share with you all the happiness I've found
A reflection of the love in your eyes
And I'll sing you the songs of the rainbow
A whisper of the joy that is mine
And leaves will bow down when you walk by
And morning bells will chime”

10. I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song- Jim Croce (1973)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is another one of those songs like Annies song and Your Song, it is about not having the right words so you make a song for her. It is so romantic to be the target of a song and have one made for you.

“Well, I know it's kind of late
I hope I didn't wake you
But what I got to say can't wait
I know you'd understand
Every time I tried to tell you
The words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song”

11. Whenever I Call You Friend- Kenny Loggins And Stevie Nicks (1978)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

While this sounds like a friendship it is more like a friendship that has blossomed into a love relationship.

“Sweet love showin' us a heavenly light
I've never seen such a beautiful sight
Sweet love flowin' almost every night
I know forever we'll be doin' it
Sweet love showin' us a heavenly light
I've never seen such a beautiful sight
Sweet love flowin' almost every night
I know forever we'll be doin' it right”

12. Baby, Now That I've Found You- The Foundations (1967)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is a song about someone that can’t let go, and hopes that by pleading he can win her back. It is so strange that it is so upbeat considering it is a song about a girl that has turned her back on him.

"Baby, now that I've found you
I can't let you go
I'll build my world around you
Baby, baby, since first we met (doot-doot)
I knew in this heart of mine (I want to tell you, doot-doot)
The love we had could not be bad (doot-doot)
Play it right and bide my time
Spent a lifetime looking for somebody
To give me love like you
Now you've told me that you want to leave me
Darling, I just can't let you.”

13. Baby I’m A Want You- Bread (1971)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is another one about finding a girl and pleading with her to stay. It is one that is such a mood peace and is so relaxing to listen to.

“You're the only one I care enough to hurt about
Maybe I'm-a crazy
But I just can't live without
your lovin' and affection
Givin' me direction
Like a guiding light to help me through a darkest hour
Lately I'm a-prayin'
That you'll always be a-stayin' beside me

Used to be my life was just emotions passing by
Feeling all the while and never really knowing why

Lately I'm a-prayin'
That you'll always be a-stayin' beside me.”

14. Say You Love Me- Fleetwood mac (1975)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This is a fun playful song itself and it is about a playful non-serious love but the rhythm overall really gets you feeling good.

“Have mercy, baby on a poor girl like me
You know I'm falling, falling, falling, at your feet
I'm tingling right from my head to my toes
So help me, help me, help me make the feeling go
'Cause when the loving starts, and the lights go down
And there's not another living soul around
Then you woo me until the sun comes up
And you say that you love me”

15. It Must Have Been Love- Roxette (1987)

15 of my favorite love songs, the fourth

This one is another passionate song and it is a tear jerker about a love or a moment that ended too soon.

“It must have been love but it's over now
It must have been good but I lost it somehow
It must have been love but it's over now
From the moment we touched 'til the time had run out
Make-believing we're together
That I'm sheltered by your heart
But in and outside I've turned to water
Like a teardrop in your palm
And it's a hard winter's day, I dream away”

That’s all folks 😊

Lol @ #6 Shania Twain i like this song but it makes me laugh everytime i hear it because it's about Mutt Lang her ex husband and producer. Who cheated on her. I always wonder when she hears that song whether she says "i wish i could take back every word". We all get done wrong from time to time but not in front of the entire world.

Noice. I mostly don't like love songs, rom-coms, or any romantic stuff in general because i have never had romantic love and probably never will.
