Question

It’s 3:30 am, I’ve been scrolling on tiktok for like 4 hours now. I just got to that “hold up! You’ve been scrolling for way to long!” video so I’m going to bed now lmao
The sides of tiktok that I’m mostly on:

skateboarding/roller skating
cats/animals
random/vine humor
gaming
torettes syndrome (for some reason)
dancing
singing/thearte
stand up comedy

Tbh I don’t understand how people say they don’t like tiktok lol
there’s literally accounts on tiktok for ANY interest, hobby, and topic. ANYTHING. If you can’t find any entertainment on there, I’m gonna just assume you’re a boring person. Give it a chance lmao

I don't like TikTok. Granted, I also wasn't much of a Vine person either when that was a thing. I think the issue for me is that I prefer longer videos as opposed to 15 seconds. I find more interest in YouTube. I get my dose of cute animal videos *cough* chubby seals *uncough* off there. (Plus, there are a decent amount of sketchy/cringy things about TikTok from what I've seen, not including the data-mining controversy) That, and I honestly just don't find dancing, a large part of TikTok, entertaining to watch. I always fast forward through dancing acts when they pop up on AGT (America's Got Talent) whenever I watch the show-- but hey, maybe I'm just a boring person. I don't use Instagram/Twitter/Snapchat, and I rarely visit FaceBook, so I'm somewhat minimal when it comes to social media.

By now, I have never really felt the need to try it. I wouldn't say people who didn't try this app are boring. Fun can be experienced in so many ways. Everyone prefers something else. I think they just don't need another place with videos of peple from all around the world doing random stuff. No offense, if you enjoy it, then use it and spend 4 hours scrolling through its content, but in my opinion, there are better things to do.
And please don't execute me for not liking the newest most popular way to spend leisure time. I'm a young and modern person with interests in many different things. I can enjoy funny videos like the ones on tiktok. Occasionally. And that's enough to me. I don't need an app full of them to fill my schedule. But, you know, everyone's different. :)

I'm currently on bug, skateboarding, tourettes, lbtq, alt, and frog tok.

I also find it really fun but also informative. There is tons of info on the blm, human trafficking, inhuman treatment of children in ice and history that the US fails to teach.

I really don't care if my data is being taken because it's taken regardless of which app I'm on. Honestly the only difference between other apps and tiktok is that those apps will be of the US and sell the info to China now China is just getting it for free.

Plus banning an app such as tiktok is censorship and on a huge scale. The banning raises big red flags for me because this app is full of politics and now the government is saying the app is "unsafe" when it's election time. Seems off

I think Tik tok videos are nice.. I haven't downloaded tik tok because I used to found it very addictive and majority of youth were attracted to it, I mean still are. I love TikTok! Like you said, there's something for everybody.
I follow a lot of retro fashion accounts, a couple home renovation people, there's a lot of random funny videos on my fyp, roller skaters, etc.
