She didn't wear baggy clothes because she was underage. She wore them because she didn't want her body to be a distraction. And what her brainless fans don't get is that she did this shoot on her terms her way. It's all about her owning her body and having power over it. But hey, everyone is a sellout for something or another according to these teenyboppers these days.

I think that it sounds about right. I would expect people to react this way. People don't quite understand how to handle their insecurities or their disgust sensitivity. So they react very strongly in an outward negative way. One that often isn't productive.
They see something they thought was very familiar do something unexpected or unfamiliar. And it catches them off-guard! They now have to assign them to a new box which can be painful for some. But easy for others.
I can see how it could be more painful for the ones that took pride in her acting or dressing a certain way. But that would really be on them. They'd just need to understand that people change. Little by little. And that the ultimate goal is to see if someone feels more authentic when they change or stay the same.
And if they feel more authentic to themselves, and they aren't harming anyone, I don't see a problem.
I mean, I'd lean towards sellout only because the last time I saw a picture of her she looked like a total fat slob. So for her to say she was afraid to show herself and that she had anxiety and all this stuff only to photoshop herself without putting the work in to look good... Especially after making all that money by giving confidence to people who people who have those problems. It just seems really sell outie to me.
From the outside looking in.
At the end of the day she's young and figuring her shit out. I always got respect for someone doing things their own way, even if I don't get what they're doing. I just hope whatever she does, it works for her. Not really Billie's responsibility to live the life her weird fans want.
It's stupid that people are getting mad. She was underage before, people sexualized her, she didn't want that so she wore baggy clothes and made a video calling people out on it. She is now an adult, she CHOSE to sexualize herself, this doesn't mean people can then go and sexualize every aspect of her life. She chose to be sexual in this moment.
Additionally, female singers often need to reinvent themselves every couple of years to stay relevant. You can see this happen with pretty much every top female singer. Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Katy Perry.
If you look up pictures of them over the years you'll see the changes, more dramatic in some than others. Male singers don't need to do this which is pretty sad tbh.

I really dig this look. It's actually classy and sexy
I don't really care. I think that women should be very careful with their sexuality and be tasteful with how they present themselves. That said, I think these pictures are actually pretty elegant and I don't think they're too over the top like something that Cardi B would do. The outfit is very glamorous to me. I think that if you present a certain glamour in a photo, it's less about sex and more about the art. There's a certain class about it and I would personally do a photo session similar to this. It doesn't look like a cheap porno shot, it doesn't make her look oversexualized, she just looks very classy and has an era style.
I was never a fan of her but she's definitely not a sellout for this. The only mistake she made was essentially being the voice of that group of people who would never rock a corset everyone was expected her to come out as trans at some point I do hope that going forward she gets more in touch with her feminin side because "powerful" women are women who can get on the cover of vogue as well not take shit from anyone there's nothing powerful in saying "im better than everything and above doing anything"
This was inevitably going to happen. When a celebrity that we watched grow from a teenager into a woman there's always some controversy around it. It happened to Britney, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and now with the beautiful and talented Billie Eilish. It's almost like as if some people don't want them to ever grow. We used to see her all covered up and now suddenly she shows up with a bit more revealing clothes showing her sensuality and the beautiful woman she became. What is wrong with that? I don't see nothing wrong. People evolve and mature and change their preferences and that is so okay. She's just living her best life and the more haters hate on her the richer she becomes LOL.
I think I get it, you look at the paparazzi's shots of her and think huh, she's hot and rich, but I could smash that. Then you see a picture of her modeling sexually and reality closes in swiftly. She's young, attractive, successful, and maybe Bill Gates could smash that. Average Avery is not. Most fans of her music I've met who are guys talk a whole hell of a lot more about how much they want to fuck her brains out.
The painful realization that the only way their dick is getting close to her is if they cut it off and throw it at her has to sting, but that is what you get from worshipping the altar of fame. For all we know the whole talk of not showing her body so people could focus on her music could have been an idea from the record label and never her idea to begin with. If u ever want to seem cool and relevant do the opposite of what everyone is use to, and that’s exactly what she did dressing like a hobo lesbian. Anyone talking about “how could she sell out” 😂 she sold out the minute she signed a record deal. Nobody becomes famous for being themselves ever famous presona has been studied and constructed to get the most sales. Sorry to break it to u Billie fans.
I just hope she's not being pressured into it. Her face looks depressed. I know a lot of celebrities are pressured into dressing sexy to get representation; Lily Allen said she was told they wouldn't let her on a magazine cover if she didn't dress sexy. Considering the depressed look on Billie's face, I hope that's not what is happening here.
I think the main reason is because this is completely against her style. An artist is not just know by their talent especiwhen it comes to Billie Ellish. Lots of teens and adults could relate with her depression stuff. I don't know much about that. She was a different one among all the other female artists. Her dressing on Award shows as compared to other female artists is something very unique and i am sure her fans love her more for how she didn't try to fir into that girlish category and wrote songs about her hair and makeup. And this photoshoot is a big step and it not unique. That being said she looks really great but she lost her uniqueness
Hating her for something SHE chose to do is so dumb. Yeah she’s known for her baggy clothes to not be judged for her figure, but that doesn’t mean she has to make that her lifestyle.
Those “fans” that are giving her shit for it aren’t really fans at all, they’d be supportive otherwise because she looks pretty damn good in those photos.Nobody cares, their is no backlash. You can't have a backlash for this when every women and her mother have posed like this. Hell, 50s pin up girls posed with less clothing on. I think the backlash is in her interview where she just insulted and belittled men showing how misandristic she is.
I know Eilish's music and I think she's unique so I quite like her.

(Although I did not like her photos, but it wasn't because of her femininity/sexuality. Just didn't like the styling they did on her.) But that's beside the point.
I haven't heard the backlash and I don't care to know, but geeeeez people, it's Vogue! Have a little respect.I don’t really know how people manage to find offence in everything and how her fans think they can tell her what she can and can’t do. She looks beautiful, and even if I didn’t like the way she looked, it isn’t my business to tell her how to look and what to wear. And correction **she’s spoken about this before: she wore baggy clothes because she didn’t want her body being sexualized.
Well, she has a gorgeous body and using it to make money in a decent way is all but something to get pissed at her.
Considering that as a musician she is mediocre at best, from a technical standpoint (yet most modern musicians are basically trash), she might find that doing this instead is a better use of her actual assets.Sex sells so if her managers believes she should switch it up and it’ll bring more traffic to her which means her music will flourish more. It’s hard to stay relevant in a time where social media and the most engaged post determines who stays relevant or not.
I think they're just disillusioned. I felt that way when I watched the wrecking ball music video for the first time. In my mind miley cyrus was always the lovely hana montana. I felt betrayed for some reason. So I can kinda understand why their being like that since Billie's style was always baggy chic and comfy. Doesn't justify it tho. They're just a bunch of dumb kids who don't know how to react to the sudden change of their idol's persona lol.
She somehow made herself less attractive lmao. Yeah sounds about right her fans are getting upset that a women can do what she wants. If she wants to dress like this she can. She's her own person. And it's funny that only now do they realise she's just the same as every other pop artist. well "Duh".
Some people are pathetic, and those people usually have pathetic opinions to go with it. She is living her life how she pleases like the rest of us and some low lives just want to be hatful because they have nothing better to do. She looks beautiful and it'll be cool to see her process and whatever else she comes out with, wether it be music or aesthetics.
She’s hot , but I can totally understand why her fans are triggered since a lot of fans, we’re her fans because she was an artist that refrained from showing her body to sell. It’s understandable
Don't objectify. OK now objectify me lol. It's all image controlled by her corporate puppet masters. Controversy sells. Avril lavingne did the same. Keeps your albums selling long term.
Funny I asked a question about her having big nice tits and that she should loss weight and stop dressing like a crackhead that got deleted by people being offended. No idea, but I say who cares. Especially if people get mad over who should be a model. There are women far far less attractive than her and become models and nobody says shit. Whatever she says who cares too. It's America where you have freedom of speech.
