Maybe a couple but, mostly, no. I just don't understand why kids today think EVERYTHING is creepy!! I was watching my Tom & Jerry collection a few weeks ago and the second cartoon in the series had a commentary track by a slightly older guy and one of the girls that was on MadTV. In this cartoon, it's the early `40's and it's Chrtstmas morning and Jerry is looking around at a bunch of the stuff Santa just left. At one point, he jumps from one spot and lands on the belly of a stuffed toy lion that squeaks when you press its stomach. The girl sees the lion on the screen and says, "That''s terrifying!". A moment later, Jerry lands on the runner at the bottom of a toy rocking chair and knocks over the doll sitting on it, onto the floor next to him. The girl says, "That's really creepy!!" I'm listening to this insane shit going, "What the fuck is wrong with you kids, today? EVERYTHING'S creepy to you!! You've OBVIOUSLY seen "It' and "Chucky" and "Killer Clowns From Outer Space" too many times and think it's actually real!!
I can answer why girls and nowadays, to a greater extent, everyone finds everything creepy. I went to high school from 1991-1994. I can count the number of times I heard the word creepy used in high school on one hand. Then I went to college from 1997-2010.. Mostly because I didn't know what I wanted to do, I actually was an employee at the college, and I liked meeting people and practicing my social skills there.
In college maybe 3-4 years in is when I started hearing girls refer to guys that they simply didn't like as being creepers. And then it just seemed more and more as time went by girls found more and more things creepy. Clowns were creepy, everything was creepy and especially guys. Guys went from being creepers to just being creepy and it basically ended up every guy that is either unattractive and likes an attractive girl is creepy and it doesn't matter what he did, the same thing done by a hot guy is not only not creepy but actually hot.
(2) Then there's the reference experience I have from a 2nd cousin that had a crush on me when she was 10-11 years old, and coupled with knowing A LOT of kids.. coz I have TONS OF COUSINS so I was always around tons of kids 3-11 etc. The girl that had a crush on me would jump out of the shower in her towel and say hi to me, pissed her mom off. She would always message me on AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and then around the time she turned 13-14 she stopped talking to me and never texted me but we were friends on Facebook.. so when she turned 19 she was living with a guy and had a baby, and I asked her "Hey how come you stopped talking to me so long ago? I mean I knew you had a crush on me but we just talked like normal friends after a while." And she said "Because I found out it was creepy. LOL"
You see? Here's what that's saying: "I had a crush on you as a kid, and then I kept talking to you later on but then when I went to high school and met other people, I saw other people say/do things that made me realize OTHER PEOPLE THINK THIS IS CREEPY and so I HAVE TO THINK THIS IS CREEPY."
It's so f*cked up. When you think about what creepy is... Creepy is stuff that creeps you out. I NEVER CREEPED HER OUT! LOL.. and then she LEARNED it was creepy after getting to high school?
(3) The reason I mentioned all the other kids is because I have seen it again and again that kids change when they get into high school.. You can no longer talk to them the way you did before, they're no longer close with you if you're a cousin/family etc. the way they were before, etc. and it all comes down to groupthink... And it's even worse if they don't have STRONG PARENTAL GUIDANCE AT HOME.
Because then all of their guidance comes from their peers.. So in the 90s was the beginning of parents that weren't around because teenagers were having babies "babies having babies" and it just got worse and worse and worse as time went by.
And that's basically how it happened that everything was creepy. Clowns, dolls, what have you. It doesn't matter.. If a bunch of friends tells you something is creepy the herd just follows and believes without thinking for themselves. This is basically how everything in society is the way it is including the prominent political ideology, how it spread, and the people in charge KNOW THIS.
So they didn't see It, Chucky and KCFOS too many times.. They just don't have parents at home, don't think for themselves, get all of their values and learning from peers their age in high school. (Ie. the blind leading the blind)..
That's how that happened to where nowadays a creepy guy is a guy you don't like that even so much as looks at you.
I've even seen someone call a guy creepy that ISN'T EVEN AWARE OF HER PRESENCE. She just looked at a guy at a table across the bar and is like "Oh he's creepy" and the dude is just sitting there having a good time with his friends/date/whatever. At that point it's literally a guy I don't like..
There was actually a video on YouTube about a girl who told her friend about a guy she wanted him to meet. He's super sweet and an awesome guy. And they arrive and she goes to the bathroom, and then the guy talks to her, and she says "I gotta go" then her friend comes back from the bathroom and she points to the guy "That guy is really creepy he just hit on me," the girl said "That's impossible, that's my friend who I wanted you to meet. He's a really sweet guy."
Groupthink and lack of good upbringing has royally fudged up society.
@realalexrose Yeah, I was already kinda going for the herd mentality ploy. That's partly how the country/world got to be so incredibly fucked up, today!
About 20 years ago, I went to the wedding of my cousin's daughter. At the reception at their house, I started shooting pool in the basement and this sweet little 11 year old girl came over and was watching me play. I asked if she'd like to play a game with me. She said she didn't know how so, I said I'd try to teach her. She was a VERY sloppy pool player but, I kept trying. I supposed we played for at least an hour and then, I think her parents called for her because they were getting ready to leave. So, just before she left, we hugged and she ran off.
At least a year later, possibly two, there was some other event the family was involved in and she was there, too and, I tried to go over and talk to her but she, basically, refused to have anything to do with me, anymore! No idea why! Her older brother got on well with me, though. He's a bit retarded. But, even though she could see I'm getting on well with her brother, she still never talked to me again!
This time, it was a big hall that we were in so, we were surrounded by a lot of people!
She DID, coyly, say that she remembered shooting pool with me but, that's about as far as that convo went.
The "real" Annabelle, no. That's just an old Raggedy Ann doll.
The movie one? Sure.
My aunt owned a bunch of antique dolls. The thing was, she wouldn't restore them or fix them up... and half of them had the eyes that opened. But those eyes would open and shut at random. Just sitting there. Probably a tiny gust of air from the air conditioner, or... who knows what - bunch of those damned things' eyes would pop open and "twitch" or flicker. Ugh.
Her house was a bit creepy as it was - she didn't take care of it, and it was built in the 50's, I believe. Old creepy furnace... musty smell... only half the lights worked. Probably just bugs and mice or something perfectly explainable, but a lot of the basement was creepy. Even at 30, I was like, ok, I wouldn't put it completely past her not to have a dead body or something in here. ;)
#notalldolls lmaoSome are exceptionally creepy and I don't know what went through the creators' head. There's a scary movie with a bunch of ventriloquist dolls, I forgot the title. The dolls in that movie are creepy as fuck.
Yes that one in particular. The kind of person that owns one may be OK but the collectors, oh boy.
They say its good to have a hobby. But in some instances that hobby can link to a deeper more worrying state of mind.

Depends on the size of the doll. If they're the size of teenagers and bigger then I have to wonder if a person is hiding inside the doll. Nothing a swift kick to the nut sack or head won't help clear up tho.
Well if you are talking about barbie the no I don't feel anything creepy about the barbie dolls, if you are talking about Annabelle the haunted doll then I would love to keep her I my home I think she is perfectly fine
If it was a Chucky doll or the one in your picture it would be but if it were a sex doll not so much.
When I was 8 my mom took me to go see child’s play or bride of chicly either or… it scared the shit out of me. When I got home my aunt had a chucky doll with stitches on the face. I peed my pants and tried to evacuate the house 😂
Haven’t fucked with dolls in general since.
I think some are really creepy especially at night! I used to be scared of looking at mine at night because of the eyes so I’d just put them in the closet so I wouldn’t have to look 😂
no, not usually. most are quite beautiful, but the one you posted looks like it crawled out of the pits of hell. i like bratz dolls, and barbie used to be beautiful like before 2012.
Never, in my lifetime, would I ever wanna own a doll that looks like that.
I actually do. I’d find it near impossible to sleep with a bunch of dolls around me deeply staring. It’s so similar and yet so dissimilar to a human being, which is what makes it creepy.
I had this exact doll as a child, and I always felt like it was watching me at night. I eventually broke it and threw it to the garbage
I picked option B, because I feel ok about Barbie dolls
NO!!!
I love them
even Anabelle dol is beautiful and I would certainly love to have one at my house...
Together we will conquer the world!!!
I used to be creeped out by dolls as a kid... especially my grandma's collection of porcelain dolls, but not anymore...
You can't ask "do you think dolls are creepy?" and then post the creepiest doll you could find. That's not how it works.
Do you consider action figures to be dolls?
do you think cereal is a soup?
okay good. So we agree then.
do you believe in possessions
you don't know or you dont care
I agree with that statement. Once i went to a graveyard, and me and my friends were smoking weed there. And this car pulled up behind us out of nowhere. Scariest thing that ever happened in my life.
Dolls only creep me out when I see movies where they come alive and their heads spin around!
Wow! goosebumps now!!!
Dolls are the personification of evil alongside clowns.
Ha ha ha ha ha... I used to carry around a huge clown doll as one of my "take everywhere" toys. My sister had an invisible clown friend named "clowny."
@GoodManDave Lol fuck that /=
@Cherry234 True.
Bella certain kinds of dolls are definitely creepy. You're getting us ready for Halloween aren't you? 😂🤣
Well the one in in the pic is. 😳 Most dolls don’t look like they are in need of an exorcism.
I think anything larger than a Barbie starts to enter the potentially creepy zone. lol
lol no they’re dolls. Even the “creepy” ones I find pretty
Hell yeah most def certain ones.., but Chucky he was funny 😂 he be talking mad shit before he puts in work lol
No I don't think dolls are creepy, however I had an ex that was terrified of clown dolls😂
