Do you think arches are creepy?

I remembered I had a nightmare about arches as a kid. My dream was specifically in a roman colosseum. Like I was in the middle of it and there are plenty of nun-like/cloaked ghosts coming out of those arches. It was freaky. That's why some churches scared me before. Even modern houses with arches made me feel uncomfortable. I've thought about this now when I was world building. I'm making my game's setting in medieval west Mediterranean (Portugal, France, Italy and mainly Spain) and looking at their architectures, they have many arches and it brings me back. Although I still think they look creepy, I actually think they're beautiful. I'd definitely give lots of arches to my castle and dungeons. I really appreciate them now although they're not so trendy anymore. I also want them in my house! So what do you think of arches?
