+1 ySome I'm glad they were just one hit wonders. Others I would have loved to have heard more from them.

Zager and Evans had minor hit afterwards

Randy Newman had done other stuff too

Great list though. I always liked the PF Sloan song Eve Of Destruction. It is becoming more appropriate today.

I don't know if they were one hit wonders but these are the only songs of them I've ever heard:
Everything I Own - Bread
I'd Love you to Want Me - Lobo
Bust a Move - Young MC - +1 y
@Miristheiss on of my old girlfriends was Eileen. I think of her every time I hear that song.
Not exactly sure if he's a 1-hit wonder as I've not had the opportunity to indulge in anymore of his music since I discovered it.

+1 yOk, don't laugh...
I loved Billy Ray Cyrus when he came out with Achy Breaky Heart.

Did he? I only remember that one and everyone calling him a, "One hit wonder."
Don't tell my heart, my achey breaky heart. I just don't think he'd understand. And if you tell my heart, my achey breaky heart, he might blow up and kill this man. WooooHooo! 😂

I don't know it. My oldest was on the very tail end of the Hannah Montana craze, so I saw that show a few times. I was over him by then.

Too bad his daughter wasn't a one hit wonder. Wait, what hits has she even had, if any?

@Daniela1982 Miley Cirus? I don't know her music, but she was popular with tween girls. Wait, there was the one song they overplayed on the radio "Party in the USA" (if that's what it was called). His other daughter Noah was popular with teens too.

Are you a child of the 80's?
I doubt I could add anything else to this topic that others have not already added. For me, though I can't get my mind off people like Jim Croce, Karen Carpenter, and Richie Valens. All three were taken from us far too soon. I think about all the "hits" we will never hear! Yes, it's a depressing thought!

Thet were the opening act for Styx maybe 45 years ago. They were a Southern band but did not play Southern music, and they featured keyboards (I am a piano player.) I became really interested in their music but they never made the next step to fame.

@OlderAndWiser Sugarloaf opened for Aerosmith. I guess they blew everyone away and the local radio stations started playing Green Eyed Lady. They dropped off the face of the earth after that.

It’s one of my favorite songs from that era.
