Yes, I've written whole albums before. I used to be a (wannabe) rapper. Rap name was Ganamete, named after the moon of Jupiter. Wrote three full albums, none ever published. Writing songs are easy, if you have an actual story to tell. Just tell the story, but make it rhyme, LOL! And if you're a newbie starting off with songs, then just use RhymeZone. com to cheat. That's what ERB did!

https://www.youtube.com/embed/SumlyBJ4e-MI got someone to sing it the opening credits for me, but I honestly like the TWICE version better, even though their song is pre-existing and all I did was slightly remix it. Sometimes, others are better at these things than your own efforts.

Write a poem, rhyme, rap, or even just a stream of consciousness.
Figure out a good set of chords to evoke the feeling you want to convey. (Listening to songs that already exist can give you an idea what chords sound well together.
Space out the words between the chords where your gut instinct tells you it feels right.
Adjust the what each word should sound like.

Yup. It can be tricky if you feel a creative block hitting. As a guitar player i can say its damn helpful if you do finger exercises beforehand, and as your creating a song you stay open to changes in its sound. Songs evolve a lot before becoming official. A fine example of that is AC/DC "whole lotta rosie" it started off being called "Dirty Eyes" and lyrics were very different. Sound was pretty different but still had the familiar beat. I found that with myself its easy for me to become strict about what i want to accomplish instead of being experimental which im trying to overcome.
I can't read sheet music. Nor play along with it well. Don't have the perceptual speed and accuracy needed. Also, a bit clumsy with instruments. But I have written plenty of lyrics. Mostly, parody lyrics. Overplayed radio songs get "the treatment."
Last Resort>The Only Resort
Why They Call it Falling>Why She Said Seven Days
Cowboy (Kid Rock)>Doughboy
Don't Stop Believin> Hell
I've made a few originals, but "The Haunted Past" is probably the best of those. I really enjoyed writing an entire Krampusnacht album.yes, wrote one with my friend as teenagers.
First we came up with the lyrics (about a trip we were on together), then used a free music software to get the beat and chords with drums and guitars. Then came up with melodies which suited it. The song is a mess xD but it is fun anyways.
I started playing the ukulele a couple of years ago. Thought of writing songs now I know a lot of chords and so, but once I try to come up with melodies it just reminds me of other melodies of well known songs and I feel like I am stealing those xp.Yes, I have written and produced a few of my own. I'm not great at it (the song-writing), but it was good experience. I wish I had more time to become better at it, but I just don't have the time or space to really devote myself to it, especially given that I have zero chances of making a living doing it. I have to focus on profitable ventures.
If I somehow found myself to be a billionaire tomorrow, I would build a studio and spend much of my time working on music...I made songs for the fun within my friends group.
The basic ''idea'' somehow popped up as a tune and a topic. Next, I polished and detailed it.
My fingers are somewhat short, and my guitar skills aren't too 'developed' - so the songs were kind of simple.I have. I just write it down as soon as I hear it in my head and I record the melody I want to work with, the emotion I want it to give the listener.
I’ve written poems that fiends tweeked. Cousin picks up guitar and finds a vibe…gives me subject or shares a thought then I go on a tear-writing and recording thoughts on phone.
Yes. They just come to me. It started when I was a young teenager.
No, that’s not something I’ve ever been interested in.
Drilled a chord progression into my mind and fingers, then just added a melody as it popped into my head.
Sometimes I'm just playing my guitar or my keyboard and I get inspired... not much to it.
I did write a song when I was like 11 but no one's ever seen or heard it because I don't think its very good
Yes for myself lol the other one i pressed by accident
Yes, I've written well over 100, so far. A few have been recorded and I hope to work on more of them in the near future.
I got a pen and paper and some inspiration or ideas and started writing.I'm kinda dabbling a little. It's a lot harder than I thought. I just kinda borrow themes and vibes from bands that really make me think.
Yes, many. I'm a singer/songwriter.
