Have you ever written a song or songs for fun?

I have. I find it's quite fun to write songs every now and then. But lately I've not had the inspiration to write any songs. I want to get back to writing songs for fun.

I had a brief rap career. You might remember hits like "I get my dick sucked," "Picking up High School girls," and "When I buy hookers." The majority of my music making tends to be on the guitar though and with metal music. Believe it or not I don't even like rap music... but yeah I used Sony Acid to make beats and I made music. It quickly morphed into something similar to Nine inch Nails and I dropped the rap stuff and then lost interest.

Yeah, fun hobby when I was bored. I don't think I ended up really going after it because there was no quick money I made. The dream got murdered when facebook shut down MySpace and all my exposure got removed from the internet.

I just went to my old MySpace... they even removed my pictures... Facebook is the reason you get to listen to music from like 20 years ago all over the place instead of anything new.

What kind of songs have you written?

I've written songs for people and I've performed some songs on stage

Love songs and sad songs

One was about unrequited love

That must have been a very emotional song! Those are very good to write and to get all the feelings out.
Mine have been about love and some about the world

Oh nice! And yeah it was quite powerful and emotional because the guy I wrote about I had really really loved at the time and it hurt that he didn't feel the same way.

I know how that feels, sorry to hear that. Did you stay friends with him or was it too painful?
I stayed friends with my crush at the time, but there were mutual feelings, just not the same ones.

No. He pretty much ghosted me.

Aww thank you. That means a lot you saying that. Good thing that he missed out or I wouldn't have found someone else who saw the good in me.

Well we sort of found each other in college.

Right. Indeed I'm glad I did. Although we aren't together anymore, we're still great friends.

In middle school, my friends and I wrote a rap about our friendship. It was so stupid.

I haven't written a song or anything like that since then.

I am always writing. Most are just musical ideas that end up scrapped, or I weave them into other compositions I am working on for our jam band.

I used to write poetry to try and get attention. I did it a few times, and some people seemed to like it but it too so much work and I got such little return from it, that I quit doing it.

As a young child I developed a couple songs. One about asking a guy to give me back my "baby". And another about watching a neighbor's dog approach me. You would never want to hear them, as they're terrible
