Is there a popular celebrity, musician, TV show or movie franchise, you're convinced almost NOBODY in real life actually likes, but is heavily promoted anyway because of internal politics and favoritism?

For examples:

Hollywood Celebrities: Seth Rogen, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Schumer, Alec Baldwin, Amber Heard and Ezra Miller, etc.

Musician Celebrities: Drake, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, all those other mumble rappers (L'il Nas X especially, but also Tekashi69, L'il Pump, Migos, etc), Dua Lipa, Billie Ellish, that fat ugly singer chick who came out of nowhere last year (looked her name up; Lizzo), etc.

TV Shows: Stranger Things, Westworld, The Witcher (Netflix), The Handmaids Tale, etc.

Movies: Paranormal Activity, The Conjuring/Annabelle, Black Panther, Rian Johnson movies, etc.

Seriously; I've never met anyone who was an actual fan of any of this crap. And yes I know, a small percentage of contrarians out there, may actually like them (or pretend to). But not enough to explain their popularity.

I'm surprised at how many people watched the Bridgertons, as I wouldn't think that THAT many people actually like period movies/tv shows. Also Star Trek and Star Wars, and Harry Potter. I find it very hard to believe that everyone likes those types of shows. They mostly prefer romantic comedies, right? :D

Definitely Amy Shumer. Watched a comedy movie called Trainwreck she stated in with Paul Rudd. Yeah her performance was a train wreck. The best bit of acting and funniest performance was from John Cena a pro Wrestler from the WWE, brilliant.

Funny thing about Paris Hilton was, it was all an act for her, and in reality, she's actually very intelligent and articulate. Ok, maybe not *that* intelligent, but yeah. After her fame faded, she later revealed in an interview that her whole dumb blonde thing, was a gimmick, and she was talking like someone who sounded articulate, educated, and like a decent human being. Now, she's married with kids and no longer famous.

A lot of people hate on the Kardashians. Even I think it goes a little too far, they are famous, wealthy, and they do scandalous things sometimes, but did they do anything to you personally?

They never did anything to me, personally. They're just teaching millions of little girls that spreading your legs, having an IQ in the low 80s, and being a whore on a sex tape can make you a billionaire and beloved by millions. Kim Kardashian literally doesn't even have a job. At best, she's a reality TV star, which is *kind of* like being an actress. They don't even donate to any actual charities.

I don't hate the Kardashians, but them among several others, embody the very worst traits of America and there is nothing commendable or respectable about them. They're not nice people and they contribute nothing of value to society. That's me speaking without any malice or hatred towards them whatsoever. As neutral as possible.
