I remember that Usher song being the theme song to Flavor Flav's VH1 reality show "Strange Love." Kinda ironic considering Flavor Flav himself is a musician.

And Nelly! God I hated Nelly! Always thought he sucked! Just like Diddy and Ja Rule, he was a product of his time. Hell, even Drake is better than Nelly, in my opinion. He still beats all of today's wack-ass mumble rappers, though. I never liked slow rappers, though. Ma$e was even worse, for me.

When I was in middle school, Ludacris was the rapper every kid liked. And in high school, it was Fifty. I told a classmate, as a joke, I'd pay him to burn me a bootleg of Get Rich or Die Tryin' and the next day, he literally made it, with a custom CD case and everything. I told him I was just joking, but was so surprised he went through all that, I ended up buying it form him anyway.

The late 90s and 2000s were quite a time.

I don’t know why, but i have a clearer recollection of where i was and what i was doing when i first heard this song than for any other song in memory. I went out to buy the CD at the first opportunity. It’s not my favorite song or anything. I think maybe it just hit me at the right place and time to weld an emotional memory in place. And…. he ain’t wrong. Sometimes i just wanna bust some shit up. Ell oh ell!
