No, I cannot. I've never seen any actor "play a role 100% perfectly" to their fictional counterpart before. Not any James Bond actors and DEFINITELY not any of those sh*tty Batman or Joker actors! I honestly dislike all of them, especially that sh*tty Batfleck and sh*tty Pattman. The latest two Batmans have been the worst actors since Clooney and they drive me mad in how sh*tty the casting was for them.
Henry Cavill is barely passable as Superman to me, and I don't even dislike him (my best friend back home looks like a taller, "poor man's Henry Cavill" in fact). And Gal Gadot SUCKS as Wonder Woman! God she's awful! Someone else mentioned Christopher Reeves, but honestly, he was too skinny to be a true Superman, although he matched him in face and hairstyle (and yes, I know they changed comic book Superman's look to be more like Reeves, not the other way around).
The MCU doesn't have any "perfect" casting either, as Tony Stark was modeled after Clark Gable and Steve Rogers is supposed to equally have a 1940s/50s flair to him and Chris Evans is way too modern looking.
So no, to be honest. If I know the character, I'm always going to have issues with the sh*tty Hollywood casting choices; especially when they just go with "popular" choices, and not accurate choices, like they do for every f*cking sh*tty Batman actor they get, like Affleck and Pattinson.
You might be happier to just stop watching movies and shows. Hahaha! That’s a lot of dislike and disappointment you’re carrying around.
Patrick McGoohan in The Prisoner. You might think I mean that because he also developed and wrote so much of it, or because it was so surreal and mind-bending, and you wouldn't be wrong, but there's also the incredible amount of facial acting he pulls off- it's hard to imagine something like that even been WRITTEN nowadays; expecting an actor to communicate so much without any words is just beyond reason.
Which is sad, because it's entirely possible that someone out there COULD, but they'll never get the chance.
Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman and Daniel Craig in James Bond because Sean Connery and that other English dude didn’t cut it for me. ✌️😵
I guess I’ll just have to be “flexible.” If they’re going to have multiple James Bond portrayals, I hope all of them get a decent amount of time in the running, yet many others to be exchanged in that part/role, so it feels normalized for multiple actors to just take a shot at it, and bring their own creative twist/ flare to the storylines. Maybe… possibly.. lol
Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby. I can't see anyone else portraying Thomas other than him.
Apparently, Jason Statham was supposed to play the role of Thomas Shelby and honestly, I can't wrap my mind around that fact. 😅
Is Thomas Shelby a deeper running character than i know from “Peaky Blinders” on Nerdflix?
I think i agree either way. Murphy is definitely gifted. Statham definitely could have done probably 80% of it, but the wordier scenes. Anything where Shelby is addressing parliament or lecturing his family; all of his long monologues are Murphy all day every day and twice on Sundays.

Thankfully we haven't gotten there yet, but if they ever tried to redo Hugh Bonneville's portrayal of Lord Grantham in Downton Abbey, I'd probably cry.
The other one that I was sad about (although I understood why) was the transition from Claire Foy to Olivia Coleman in The Crown.
I think it has to be Heath Ledger as The Joker.
He won a posthumous Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for it and it is an acting performance for the ages. When they teach acting, watching his performance should be required.
Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies
100% agree!
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Henry Cavill as Superman
Man, grew up with Christopher Reeve as “Superman”, and he did it! I dig Cavill, and i’m glad he’s “back” but he’s definitely not my only one.
Ryan Reynolds definitely owns “Deadpool”. It’s almost like he was born to play that part. What will future generations do beside long for another gift from god? Ell oh ell!
I respect Christopher Reeves, but Henry Cavill is physically massive, with the butt chin and the clean look is perfect for Superman. When he and the Rock square-off, that's going to be exciting.
Obviously you’re referring to musculature, cuz Reeve was taller than Cavill and likely taller than Johnson. If his era relied more on physicality and less on performance, he could have bulked up and surpassed them both easy. I’m still with Reeve for Superman. I haven’t seen “Black Adam” yet, but Johnson has yet to disappoint me.
I think like those characters designed especially for a specific actor, like how the genie was written with the idea that Robin Williams would voice him.
Or those actors who changed how the character was portrayed so much by acting them, like Jack Sparrow was portrayed as way different than expected by Jonny Depp.
Yes, Sir Ian McKellen is Gandalf. He even took the part for the second (crappy) trilogy because he didn't want anyone else to play the character, rightly so!
you are resistant to other actors playing James Bond 50 years after Sean Connery stopped playing him and 6 other actors already have done? 🤔
That’s a terrible answer to this question. Do you always struggle with reading and comprehension, or just can’t resist trolling?
Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm, Sam Neil as Alan Grant
Even though nobody else agrees I think Ben Affleck was the best Batman.
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
That’s a good choice! Let’s see if my choices can sway you a bit…
Kit Harrington, probably most famous for his role as Jon Snow in “Game of Thrones”.
Tom Hardy has done a ton of work that justifies him as Wolverine.
I do have to admit though….
Jackman HAD to win me over and he thoroughly did. I was unwilling to accept a lean 6’2” man as a character routinely drawn as short and stout, and routinely written as being referred to as “runt” and “shorty”. But Hugh so embodied the brooding and rage associated with Wolverine that i soon lost every stitch of disbelief. In that way, i agree completely with your choice.
Michael Keaton - the original 1989 Batman 👍🙂
Jaleel White as Steve Urkel
Keanu Reeves as Neo
LOKI
I can definitely agree with Thor. Who’s going to literally embody the role AND portray it so well?
Downey was great as Iron Man in the MCU, but his portrayal was way too far removed from the writing for me to exclude all others.
Loki….. hmmm….
no challenge on record. Hiddleston is the man! Ell oh ell!
Indeed. That’s why he wasn’t really suited to Iron Man. Iron Man is written much like Batman. A brooding multimillionaire genius of few words and mostly clandestine action. And a “ladies’ man”, of course. Don’t get me wrong. I dug what he did much the way i dug what Jackman did with Wolverine. But if i’ve got to give up one or the other, i’d prefer a character fail the embodiment and convince me with their portrayal than the other way around.
