Did you know that Whitney Houston's debut LP, called simply Whitney Houston had 4 number one singles on it? It's hard to choose a favorite among so many great tracks, but "The Greatest Love of All" is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since, Elizabeth, it's impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It's an important message, crucial really. And it's beautifully stated on the album.

You know.. I like this. Someone who takes care of themselves and loves themselves, and shares that experience with others…

It seems that there is no need to share that, so when they do… it’s almost as if they slightly do care and wish for others to care and love themselves, as well.

Like it’s not a bad thing.

“Impossible to empathize with others” is a thing I wish to debate, but if considered it also as impossible for people to truly love others or in general just love-

it can be reversed and eliminated/ overcome, if we at least start by loving ourselves.

They do also say treat others the way you want to be treated. If people just START loving- ANYONE AT THIS POINT, even themselves. They’ll know how they like to be treated and later could consider treating others with a form of love- treating them as they wish, and like to be treated.

This all seems like a great start. At least, work away from hate, and genuinely love yourselves, and maybe then hope can grow that someone can either- if not love another person, for god sake treat them well, and not like a total enemy to be obliterated, with metal and words.

I like this and Thanks Whitney Houston and American psycho screenwriter, for composing these, and you the questioner, for combining the two for your purpose, but hopefully others will gain something well from it, as I did.
