How does a bullet to the heart cause instant death, wouldn’t you need to bleed out or something?

it doesn't... if you see in fiction that people just drop dead cold right away would be more because of the shock to the body, and especially the heart... lol

the shock of that kind of damage can make you drop, and then you will be unconscious in seconds because there's no more flood to the brain... and then it is a matter of minutes for actual gone gone

and not all bullets will cause a visible bleed out, but a lot of internal bleeding, yes

It doesn't. It automatically sends your body to shock and you start to bleed out. Now it could be a light out if it hits the spine just right and shuts off the brain

How are you supposed to bleed out if your blood isn't pumping? No oxygen means organ failure, that includes your brain.
