Do you know why? I wouldn't know until the end that the villain won. Books don't say on their covers "VILLAIN WINS IN THE END".
The plot and how the book ends is usually a mystery.
For me I thought that about the Hunger Games books. The last book kind of ruined the saga for me. I always disliked them after that.
