What country has the best folk/traditional music in your opinion?

I'd also count modernized takes on those genres as long as the tradition and roots are still noticeable. In my opinion, I'd say

East Asia specially Korean and if it's modernized. It's common to have 3 beats while sounding like a middle ground of Chinese and Japanese music. The 3 beats just makes it sound waltzy and regal. This example is modernized Korean traditional pop. And it's 4 beats music gives me a resemblance to country ballad but with Asian instruments. Same artists.

Brazilian because they have nice rhythms and melodies and with some use of Pentatonic scale, It kinda has some East Asian vibes to it sometimes. There's someone who covered this song with Erhu and it also worked. Other than that, I like Bossa Nova and it actually a traditional music but it's used so much by modern artists making it sounds so fresh.

Argentina for having smooth Tangos. While Tango originated in Spain/Moroco, Argentina made Tangos so smooth. The genre is Nuevo Tango Ensemble which is a fusion of Jazz and Tango and it sounds so classy. It's a maybe Spanish influence but influences can be a part of the tradition since people had always been influencing each other.

Pre Colonial Philippines. I've always been hearing the colonial era music which i just find ok but I got biased in doing more researches until I discovered the instrument called "Kudyapi" long ago and it sounded really sick. I thought it sounded like a fusion of Shamisen (Japanese lute), Sitar (Indian lute) and Banjo then I found this song which is modernized folk, it's really jam in my opinion. I found a Trap remix of this and i like it too.

I wanna add more. I wanna talk about Japan. Shamisen sounds really nice and I love how this is turned out fused with 90s rave. www.youtube.com/watch

USA for their Southern Cowboy/Country vibes. I'm not talking about the cheesy ones that I understand how some people hate it www.youtube.com/watch www.youtube.com/watch

Just to be clearer, USA has 2 links

France. Just like how I described Argentinian and Brazilian, It sounds smooth. French just has it's own distinct vibes that makes me think more about food and wine www.youtube.com/watch

Spain. While it can sound comical, it still has a unique way of using instruments. Specially how they use trumpets sounding regal and romantic at thesame time. www.youtube.com/watch
