Does anyone else not like the Matrix?

It thinks it's super deep and philosophical, but it's not. The themes have been done before in anime, Plato, and even a movie from the previous year, Dark City. Neo and Trinity have absolutely NO chemistry, but you expect me to believe they're lovers, just because Trinity randomly says it out of nowhere? The whole movie is them walking next to each other, her explaining the Matrix to him, or them siting quietly in the car. Why can't they just be friends?

It's so stupid that a kiss from Trinity professing her "love" is what revives him. It should have been Morpheus telling him, "Neo, wake up! All of humanity depends on you!" The mystery of the matrix was intriguing at first; then, it devolves into another sci-fi flick where they run on walls and shoot security guards with big guns. Yeah, the effects are cool for the time, but the movie is not as deep or smart as it pretends to be.
