I never got into Friends, but I’m of course aware of it, it was huge when I was in high school, second only to Seinfeld. My girlfriend loves it, and Chandler was her favorite character, so she’s pretty bummed.

I actually go further back with Matthew Perry. In middle school I used to always rent this movie called She’s Out Of Control, starring Tony Danza (AYY!!! OHH!!!🇮🇹)

In that movie, Tony Danza has a teenage daughters who gets a makeover while he’s on a business trip, and he comes back to his formerly awkward looking daughter having guys literally banging on their front door. And Danza is freaked, lmao. Matthew Perry is one of the guys she dates, an older graduating senior who presents like a well-mannered preppy Yale-bound gentleman, but is actually the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” Danza’s therapist warned him about.

Also, he was “Sandy” on Growing Pains, a dude who was dating Carol Seaver, and he got in a drunk driving accident, seemed outwardly fine, then he dies, so…. this is my second time losing Matthew Perry🙏😭

he looked like he needed some real help... going the wrong direction. you put up a photo when he was really young. he was very obese and suffering. We could have whipped him into shape for the next phase of life.

A lot of people are "crashing" in the 50's because things change and you have to adjust and adapt. Diet is one of them.

I thought it was funny show, but possibly very corrupting as well. nothing like watching a bunch of disfunctional relationships...

when I grew up, I saw famlies with parents...

May he and family rest in peace and may it be a wakeup call to everyone else for the next day of life.

I liked Friends as a kid. My mom literally had me watching the show when I was in preschool. Back then i didn't understand the issues and was a huge Rachel and Ross fan. As an adult, I saw how toxic they were and would’ve preferred she went through with Joey. I initially paid Monica and Chandler no attention but when rewatching as an adult, they became my fave couple. I’m sadly a lot like Monica despite not liking her sometimes 😂 But i also have my Phoebe and Rachel moments. May Matthew rip. I heard he drowned in the jacuzzi. I wouldve felt he hit his head or something but I don't know it could be a heart attack if someone scared him shitless. Perhaps a Halloween joke. He had really bad hangovers and stuff in the past from his drug and alcohol addictions. Although he recovered, maybe some side effect just now hit

He was worth 80,000,000 and I believe he died of a suicide cause the coroner I saw in a news article says, over 99.9% of bath tub drownings are either murders or suicides since it’s almost impossible to drown in a bath tub.

At the time I sort of was. But it didn't hold up very well over time. Even the little clips on the news after his passing are kind of cringe. They were going for goofiness.

Seinfeld ended up being the one which held up much better.

What is the official word on what happened? Did he drown in a jacuzzi?

I never was a fan, plus I do think it's debatable that it's a loose copy of "Living Single"... With that being said I do think it's a pretty decent show and I liked his character although Ross and Joey were funnier to me. My mother used to have movies he was in..

Yes, I was a big fan. I always liked him on Friends, but when I saw him in the movie opposite Salma Hayek in "Fools Rush in" that is when I saw a different side of him. I love that movie and have watched it several times. RIP Matthew

Friends wasn't my go to show but I did like some episodes. He was one of my favs on the show. And I liked him in a couple of movies he was in. RIP Matthew Perry.

Friends was an awful show, not funny at all. He was 54, very suspicious. Of course he did have many addictions to drugs and alcohol, which may have played a role.
