Philosophy can be fun but ultimately fruitless since different philosophies will always conflict and going down that rabbi Hole leads to nowhere


Art on the other hand is endless and can take a million different forms without ever truly contradicting itself

Art. I took art history, ancient art history, and tribal art courses in college.

I find philosophy tedious. I don't care to ponder the thoughts of philosophers. I'd be more interested in analyzing political ideologies or the great works of literature.

I took philosophy in college and didn't like it. A couple of us used to ditch class a lot, yet we still passed. I would definitely take art. There is more money in it. You didn't see Socrates, Plato, or any of the others living in palaces.

Movies are definitely art. Some television series are as well. Think of the series Twin Peaks.

In France and Italy, movies are often referred to as the "settima arte" or "septième art". I think the term was coined by Ricciotto Canudo in the 20s of the previous century, where he described it as a new art combining architecture, sculpture, painting, music, dance and poetry.
