They all had their strengths.. Mariah had the most range, as she could sing the highest octaves.. Whitney had the more powerful voice out of the 3.. Celine had the most polish.. So it's pretty subjective in the end because they're all great singers especially in their times..

Whitney and Mariah both use a song as an opportunity to prove what fancy embellishments they can sing, without regard to whether is detracts from the beauty of the song. Celine does much less of that and her performance are more about the song and less about the singer.

I prefer Whitney Houston by leaps and bounds. Her talent and skill as a singer aside, i dig the content of her songs as well. That’s important. It doesn’t matter how good you sound if i can’t relate to the song and appreciate its meaning.
