Instrumental. Technical proficiency & creativity impresses me!
Vocal. No more beautiful instrument than human voice (s)

Trending & News I’d probably go with Shai if we aren’t counting the Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego theme song😝
If I had to pick, though, I prefer instrumentals. I feel like you can do much more with that, vs just different vocal pitches being harmonized
I don’t have a favorite ig and I suppose I accept instrumental more than just acapella alone , though I believe in the measure of the lyrics.
Lyrics can hold immense feeling , meaning , and messages so powerful to not just the songwriter (s), but the listener. Makes it feel pure and an art form, without substance and invoking of emotion it feels “robotic”.
I adore Pentatonix! Their harmonies and creativity are incredible. One of my favorite acapella songs by them is "Hallelujah" – their arrangement gives me chills every time. If I had to choose between vocal or instrumental, I'd go with vocal. There's something about the raw emotion conveyed through the human voice that resonates deeply with me. 🎶

I often return to Tommy Guerrero
https://www.youtube.com/embed/F5UlllPBfCwHe accompanied me during my most recent transition from somewhere sad to... Well, as the title suggests: Nowhere. But nowhere feels so nice. I assure you 😂
I always prefer the melody rather than the lyrics, so for me, instrumental.
But most music I like is a combination of vocal and melody, not just acapella.
Instrumental. I am a huge fan of Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Paganini, Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, Christopher Parkening, Liona Boyd, and many others.
Favorite is Spring from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons.
Voiceplay at the moment, but only because The Vocal Union has split up and half the original members of The Flying Pickets are dead.
Voiceplay's bass, Geoff Castelluci has an incredible range. Their version of Valhalla Calling is next level.
Nothing beats instrumental music, using various electronic and acoustic instruments, and an innovative clever use of interesting chords and key changes
Straight no chaser but I also like home free and voiceplay
Pentatonix.
