I stopped going to bookstores after 2020 because kindle became available and I coyld buy books online. Also for a few years before I started buying kindle books, I used digital apps to borrow library books online without appearing physically in the library to borrow those books, since I did not like travelling there.
I once met a dangerous psychopath who threatened me when I was leaving the library after borrowing several books. I don't think he targeted me for any unusual reason other than he must have been high on some illegal drug and prone to violence because of it.

i go to stores like half priced books. there's one near me where ik most of the people working there lol same for a few other rare book stores near me. i like talking to them

All the book stores have been closed. Even the campus bookstore where I teach has been closed since Covid. It never reopened. Students get a better deal on Amazon. I used to love college bookstores.
I think the last time I went to a bookstore was two summers ago. I had to go to a store that was near Barnes and Noble and I went in to look around.

I've been to the library probably about a dozen times. .. in the last past 5 months I've been wanting to go to a book store. Because Im Either going to sell some of my older books or ? Im really not sure yet
