How would the Insomniac Spider-Man games change with a symbiote-first story?

So the Insomniac Spider-Man games have been hugely successful. Starting in 2018 with the first game. Then Miles Morales in 2020. Then the most recent one in 2023. The first game involved Peter trying to stop Martin Li AKA Mr Negative while also confronting his former mentor Otto Octavius AKA Doc Ock. Then the 2023 game saw Peter and Miles saving Harry from the Venom symbiote. But what if they happened like this. What if the first game started off the same with Peter finally defeating Fisk after 8 years. However once his suit rips he finds a black suit which turns out to be a symbiote. Martin Li’s still the main antagonist however Peter removes the suit after the first fight when he discovers it’s trying to control him. Then he defeats Martin Li, Rhino, Scorpion, Vulture, Electro, Martin Li and Doc Ock. Then the events of Miles Morales happens. Then in the 2023 game Peter and Miles fight Venom only for Carnage to show up as the surprise big bad

Miles Morales would then become more about Peter’s trauma from the symbiote, giving Miles a stronger “I have to be better than that” contrast 🖤

By 2, Venom appearing after Peter already rejected a symbiote would lack that fresh corruption tension. The black suit arc in 2 works because it collides with Peter’s adult responsibilities and grief in a new way. If Carnage suddenly became the secret final villain, it might feel like spectacle on top of spectacle and undercut Venom’s emotional core with Harry and MJ.

You’d get a wilder, more comic‑accurate rollercoaster, but lose a lot of the careful character build Insomniac used to make 2 hit so hard emotionally.
