Do people who dress up a lot feel insecure?

Sometimes I feel like...it's one thing to want to look good, it's another to want to look good every single day of the week.

No? This question is ridiculous. First of all, why do you care what others wear? Second, just because you don't have the ability or put forth effort into making yourself look good doesn't mean someone else shouldn't be able to. The fact that you would claim their is something wrong with a person for wanting to look how they want to look is idiotic. It's also extremely subjective. They may think they don't look dressed up at all, while you may think they do. If anything. YOU are the one making yourself look insecure by caring what other people wear. Are you comparing yourself to them? Are you jealous they may get more attention, simply because you think they look better than you?

I've always been a tomboy growing up, so I'm mildly curious, that's all.

Make-up to me feels like paint on your face.

If I've asked a question wanting to understand the psychology behind it, it means I'm curious. If I was 'jealous,' then I wouldn't bother asking the question, I'd laugh internally and shit talk to those around without questioning it

I don't think so. I rarely dress up cuz I figure. Why bother? I'm just gonna end up ruining the outfit I bought. Damn sexy mannequins can make anything look good lol
Also, I like to dress comfortably. And looking good is not comfortable for the most part.

They're happy and confident in their body. Something more people should try to do but eh. It's not as easy for everyone.

No I try to look good every single day because it's jut something I like to do. So if a girl who reads everyday insecure about her intelligence, no it's just a hobby she enjoys doing. I enjoy looking nice, it's just a hobby for me.
Also I only buy nice clothes so my outfit naturally looks slightly put together without me trying

Not really. And not because I'm just being crazy but I have really bad acne and have since I was 12. I have a friend whose like me and likes to look nice, and she never cares about going out without makeup

Also when it comes to looking nice I mainly only care about clothes, because I'll just put foundation on and powder them leave. So nothing like eyeliner, mascara, blush, etc

Well everyone even people like me who don;t even wear make-up can feel insecure, each and every one of us have our insecurities but i do feel people who dress up every day are way more insecure because they do what everyone says, let people push them around and care too much what others think.

yea i am a guy so its less work for us to look good its like clean shirt clean pants a quick look in the mirror a little dam you look good 2 day and we are on are way ;p but i respect girls for all the work they have to put in to look good for us guys so bravo to you cuz i could't do it but i personally think girls dont have to be dressed up all the time but just more often then not

I don't know, who am I to judge? But as a girl I know it's almost exhausting to put on make up/eye liner every single day... sometimes you just want to look normal.
