I really don't agree with that.

Yes, I have had a friendship that long (but it ended).
The only other person I've known that long is my s/o. Been together for 9 years.

I don't agree! I was friends with a girl from school age so we were friends a long time. She changed over the years , into a person i didn't know anymore. We don't speak now

Yes, I have several friends that I've known for over seven years. :) I can't see those ending anytime soon.

Yes. I have a friend since 2003 back when I was in middle school. Still friends til this day.

But I wouldn't say I'll last a lifetime. Things get in the way. And life happens.

im sure my best friend and I will be friends forever but its certainly not panning out that way, meaning we never hang out.
