Kik users: How many days does one have to not open their kik app before you see the "oops..." message?

Last Monday, I messaged a friend 3 days after he last messaged me and my message was stuck on S (and is still stuck on S till today).

I messaged him yesterday and not only is my message stuck on S, but I also got this response from the kik server: "Oops it looks like (friend's name) phone has been off/disconnected for a while. We'll deliver your message when they connect again".

Based on your own experience with the app, any idea what this means? I've checked online and a lot of people say that it means their phone is off or in a dead zone, or that they haven't checked/opened the app for a few days. Any idea on how many days before the Kik server sends that message? Some also say that it means they've logged out of kik, although I don't see how you can "log out" of kik cos there's no option for that.

Any ideas or input welcome!

When you see the "oops" message on the KIK app, it means the person you are trying to talk to hasn't been on KIK in a few days or they have deactivated their account.

They will still be able to see your message though the next time they log in as long as it's within 30 days from the time you sent the message.

It means that they've uninstalled the kik app.

I'm not sure, I've never experienced that. I've been stuck on S for a few hours, but it never told me that

I don't know... But it's only been about 10 days since he last messaged me when I got that "oops..." response message from the kik server.
Have you gotten that before?

That sucks cos that's the only communication method with this friend :/

I also realize the kik far is pretty outdated and not very informative.
