My husband talks to his dad everyday? What should I do?

My husband talks to his dad EVERYDAY and it insults me! He only lives an hour away and sees him once a week. I guess thats not enough because my husband will usually spend 15-20 minutes talking to his dad on the phone. A couple of times they talked for an hour. I always knew they were close, my husband made him the groomsman at our wedding. But this is pushing it. I am close to my mom, we live in the same city as well, but I don't talk to her everyday. I only see her once or twice a week.
I feel like this is straining our marriage because I want to spend as much time with my husband as I can. But I can't do this if he is always talking to his dad. It would be another story if they just texted or if his dad lived far away. But like I said, his dad only lives an hour away. ALL they do is talk an its really taking away precious time from my husband.
How can I convince him that talking to your dad everyday is NOT normal for a married man?
I'm about to throw his cell phone in the toilet.

Sorry, but to be honest I think it's perfectly normal. The college we re both at is about three hours away from home, we probably see our parents once maybe twice a month. I'm fine when my husband calls his Dad, I even ask him to put it on speaker phone so I can join in on the conversation most of the time. We talk to his Dad and Mom and my Dad and Mom just about every day on the phone. We're both very close to both sets of parents, I'm not just a daughter in law I'm treated as a daughter my husband like a son. It's not like we need them to tell us what to do or how to solve every little issue, we just love and enjoy our families. Truthfully I wouldn't have married him if he wasn't!

His father is the man who raised him, he's been there for his whole life. Who gets jealous or upset if their spouse talks to their parents? If my spouse wanted to talk to his parents, I'd be happy and talk to them too, since it builds rapport and you maintain a good relationship with your in laws. Besides it's not like you can stop him from talking to his dad.
It is normal to talk to your loved ones everyday.

I haven't voiced this to him yet. I'm not sure how to word it. Couples therapy is an option for us. I am willing to have a therapist listen and agree with me on how mentally unstable he is.
