I'm 25 and I love being with younger guys. I just can't see myself with anyone my own age or older. However, I do have to sacrifice something.. and that's settling down and getting married at this age. Its not that younger guys don't want to settle down.. its because they have so much they want to accomplish. Such as college, living life.. so on and so forth. Even if a guy younger than me wanted to settle down, I don't think I would want him to. I remember being 19, I was married and all I wanted to do was party. But my husband who was much older than me wasn't into all of that. So, I wouldn't want to do that to someone else, especially if I loved them.
There is usually a reason for the questions people ask. What is your reason? Just curious.00 Reply

Alright.. I do realize that everyone here says no. BUT I would like to give you a bit of insight. My husband and I have been married since December 09. I am 18 years old and he is turning 21 next month. I believe that most guys around his age don't want to settle down quite yet but some do. We both wanted to settle down a long time before we got married. If you look at my profile picture you will see that it is a baby girl, our daughter. She is only two weeks old and she means the world to both of us. We are in love and have been together for about 3 years now. No one on here will really be able to tell you if your man is ready for that type of commitment but I will tell you that it can happen. Best of luck.

Wow that wasn't f***ing funny at all. I apologize greatly for my friend's f***ing brother who said that about your child. honestly thought I could leave my sh*t logged on while I step out to smoke but I guess not
I think that's a little bit too serious,But can happen.
To some girls it's not a problem because they won't have any problem with money and other sh**,cuz they only take care of the baby and the house.
But guys whatever their age is they must have three things to Be ready for marriage.
1- Money.
2- The responsibility.
3- maturity.
Im not going to say that there's no guy will get married 19 y.o because I've seen a male in my age married my friend she was 17 y.o And he was 19,idk if you believed that or not.
So if a male has this three, things to me I think he can get married in 16 y.o if you want.
That's the only thing I can say.00 Reply
+1 yI'm sure some guys are, but the majority of guys that age [I hate to say it] are not. I'm 20 and I date guys in thier early-mid 20s and I don't see any of them wanting to settle down yet. I have friends around my age who have had kids and while some of the fathers stuck around in the beginning, they didn't end up staying together. It's a nice idea, but unfortunately it's not a reality.

are you asking if he started dating a girl who already had a baby?
i see it possable. I'm almost 19 and I know a girl who just had her little girl and the dad's a deadbeat. I'm not gonna lie, I'd probably date her for a year or two steady until I'm outta school so I could seriousely provide for the two of them. but this girl I've known for a while and she's sweet. someone who I could possably see myselfe with down the road...but man it would ba hard.
but this is comming from a guy whos quite mature for his age.02 Reply- +1 y
Yea I agree. that's why I believe it would be extreamly benificial for the boy to get through collage and get a real job while dateing the girl. then down the road settleing down could be a possability. but either way, it'd be a rough start for a young relationship. and she'd have to be special...real special.
Are there guys willing to settle down at 19? I'm sure there are. Am I? Nooooooooo waaaaaaay. I'm 20 and the thought of settling down is never in my head. I'm way too young and haven't done the things that I want to do before I even consider the thought. To me, I don't understand why people are willing to settle down that young, like they are following some kind of script or something. Sure they are having a kid or getting married, but are they established enough? How many other things are they missing out on?

for women on here, it's not only about love. you can be as in love as... someone... very in love, and still not want to settle down at 19 and raise a baby. what do you think? that raising a baby can be done with pocket money? I'm sorry but without money, raising a baby is a terrible idea. second, yes, at 19, guys have their hormones raging. why settle down at 19 when you have so much to experience? I don't think at 19 you've had all the experiences you needed to have, and yes, that includes women. settling down means being with the same person until you're 80 and die and raising a baby means being responsible for him/her, his/her past, present and future until he/she dies, his/her kids, grandkids, and all following generations die. so you may want to make sure you're REALLY ready and had the necessary time and experiences in life.

+1 yi doubt it. 19 is too young for anyone to really settle down and start a family in these days and times because at that age your life is really just beginning and you are just learning how to live on your own...so it wouldn't be wise to stick a baby and a wife into that scenario with a 19 year old guy... plus I'm sure at 19 both girls and guys have wayyyyyy too many wild oats to sow to even think about some serious settling down and baby making.lol.

+1 yi did it at 20. kid was 1 year old. she was 19. I was the only dad the kid had for 7 years. after dating 5-6 years I married her and she divorced me after one year for a rich guy she was seeing behind my back.
so will anybody do it? yea, I did it. would I ever do it again? nope.00 Reply
+1 yPlenty of 19 year olds have done it through history.
I was probably prepared to 'settle down'. I just didn't know how to have a good relationship and maintain it.
Good luck to the three of you.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 ynot sure most guys liek the thought of settling down at 19 but I'm pretty sure a lot of guys at that age decide if their current girlfriend is who they want to be with forever and have children. but want to wait a few years. that what my boyfriend told me. but you never know, things can change.
but most guys I know want to wait till their in their late 30's lol00 Replynot a chance, I'm 19 and I still have two years left of college. Also how can anyone possibly be in love at 19? Sure you can start the process, but it really does take years to develop something real.

+1 yThe mistake of not using a condom falls equally on both of you. Getting consistent child support from him may be the best you can expect at his age. I hope you have health insurance or rich parents.

Please don't count on that actually happening... if he really is okay with settling down with one girl and a baby, that is an EXTREME rarity...00 ReplyIs anybody really ready for a commitment at 19? No, but that's how you separate the good guys who will commit and the bad guys who will leave.
