What would you do if someone was harassing your girlfriend?

What would you do if you found out about someone talking sh*t about your girl, calling her names, harassing her family, etc?

Whether it be a girl or a guy, what would you do? Would you be neutral and let her handle it, or would you get pissed off with her?

I just have a situation,. Its coming from a family member who is causing all kinds of drama talking about my family, calling me things like "pig face" saying that she will get on a plane just to punch me in my face, then talking sh*t about my mother, etc. she's been doing this for a while. Has said tons of false, and rude things.

BF doesn't do anything, doesn't really react, and is just kinda "thats not nice. She seems really unpleasant," kind of reaction and that was it

guys are fixers and if they can't fix it then they won't fly into action. Here there's nothing to fix, he can't fix you being mad about it either. Men are different they don't rant and rave(well most of them) on a subject just to vent like we do. he isn't getting mad along with you because there's nothing to fix in the end there's no resolution to the conflict he can see. He might try to tell you ways to stop it or give you advice on what you can do to not let it bother you but he's not really in a position to do much so he does nothing. This is something you need to rant about with your sister or your mom, guys just don't react to stuff like this the way we do... unless it was another man and then that might get his back up because there might be something he could do about it then.

If it was some random d-bag that was talkin trash on my girl, then yeah, I'd have some problems with the guy. When it's inter-family though, that's a tough one. Even if I thought that my girl was right, I'd be pretty hesitant to get too involved or offer opinions on other family members. But, if she has to get on a plane, she's outta sight, outta mind, and I'd let it roll off of me and try to let my anger subside. Either way, if it's something that really upsets you, no matter what it is, your boyfriend should probably act like he's a little more concerned. In all honesty, from a totally truthful guy perspective, even if I didn't really care about the problem, I'd at least act like I did lol...Not sure why the boyfriend is just taking a "whatever" stance.

My rule is quite simple, nobody says anything offensive about my girlfriend, or my family (my family includes my girlfriends family)

If someone threatens me, i normally do to them what they threatened me with.

Tell your boyfriend to grow a pair, or get one of his male friends to say something to him.

If you're upset, its a problem, regardless of what it is.

Nah dude, my cousin is a psycho, She will get physical, and is saying things that she knows are sensitive subjects like weight (calling me pig face) and doing the whole "become a pleasant person so the cousins won't avoid you anymore." thing she said to me.

It doesn't seem like that big of a deal. It can't be the first time someone has been unpleasant to you, why not just ignore it?

Because its a cousin, who has betrayed my family and I on numerous occasions, and lies about us to everyone else who just tolerates it. You can't blame me for being angry when someone is lying about my family, disrespecting my family, along with insulting me about things that I am quite sensitive about. Yes, it makes me want to fight them, and get angry, Its not about being "unpleasant," its about being a rude psycho.

Well, if nobody likes her, why bother? It's not like they're taking what she says seriously. She's probably getting enjoyment out of making you angry, but it would take out her platform if you didn't care. Anyway, serves no purpose in being angry, it's not like you can change her.

I never said people didn't like her. I just said no one says anything when she talks sh*t, no one corrects her. I'm guessing you have never been made fun of, teased or anything to the point where you couldn't do anything about it. I have a long long long history of it. I don't want to change her, I want to beat her ass.

Course I've been teased. So has everyone. I just don't really mind, there's not too much someone could say to make me upset. That's the difference between people who keep getting made fun of and the people who don't. Nobody likes messing with someone who won't react.

Dude, try being teased for the first 15 years of your life, and "not reacting." I still got made fun of. I still got harassed. I can not react all I want, and ignore her all I want. She keeps going and running her mouth.

Hah, I don't need him to get physical with anyone, its just like, I'm pissed, I'm venting, this cousin of mine is saying hurtful things, rude things, and I want someone to get pissed off with, not just brush it off.
