Do you think it's wrong to hit your kids?

Anything from knocking a kids teeth out to just spanking, do you think you shouldn't harm your children. I'm against any form of violence towards children, including emotional abuse, but I wanted to know what other people thought. Besides that, what would you call abuse

Spanking is fine, as is probably the ᜊᜆᜓᜃ᜔ ("batok"; "BAH-tok"; n. 「the back of the head」, v. 「to place a hand to another's back of the head, before suddenly, quickly, and forcefully pushing forward, upward, or a combination, without performing an impact-strike, just riding the surface of the back of the head with the fingers」, n.「the act of placing a hand to another's back of the head, before…」). Mandatory exercises should work, too.

With well-supervised self-defense training, the child should not be injured in general. Strength should be limited (to their level of strength, at max.), but not skill. That way, whoever fails to defend (parent and/or child) get instant feedback & incentive to fix any holes in their defenses, but nothing too bad. Force used should be such that any discomfort experienced should disappear within the day. Better to have them learn with very slight unpleasant outcomes in a controlled environment by some who cares for them than to have undiscovered defensive-breaches exploited full-force by bullies, attempted rapists, etc. who clearly give no d—s about their well-being, right?
Anything past that, I would consider doubtful (though that would depend on case-to-case basis, given that different cultures have developed their own methods of physical-punishment sometimes unheard-of to others). Any actual damage to the child (ex. from full-force strikes, attacks targeting pressure-points, etc.) are utterly unreasonable, unnecessary, and clearly abuse.

Aside from extent of the use of force, the discipline should be proportional to the wrongdoing. Also, given my previous posts stating that violence should not be a mere expression of emotion, physical-discipline should also not be just an expression of emotion at the time. It should be rules-based (ex. with written general prescription of penalties per wrongdoing, plus increases in punishment per repeat-offense). The aim of physical-discipline should not be childish retaliation, but halting serial-offenses, and preventing the development of socially-parasitic criminal. And as for trying to make the kid a good-natured, productive member of society? That's the rest of parenting.

Spanking is fine, closed fists are definitely not. I don't have an issue with spanking or slapping. As long as the parent isn't using fists or objects and isn't doing it out of abuse/violence, it's okay to physically discipline your kids. The ones who don't/can't end up going on Dr. Phil and then you get trash like Bhad Barbie. So yeah, spank the hell out of your bad-ass kids, if they won't obey you.

I think physical discipline is appropriate, up to about age 12, provided that it is administered as discipline and not to vent the parent's anger or frustration, and if it does not cause any injury or significant bruising.

Well, many people defend the childre's beating, claiming that they are teaching them to making them stop being a disobedient child. For my point of view, it should be a controlled education method, but without abuses, like make them a punching bag or something like that

Nope that's white people if my child start getting crazy they getting they as fucking beat. Maybe not to the extent my parents beat me but now that I'm older I see why it was done. The only discipline I see some white kids get is yelled at or a grounding I watched a 13 year older girl little white girl curse her mom out at my register at work cause her mom didn't buy her a short for her fucking friend. Lemme ask my mom or dad for candy when. I'm the store I won't make it out alive 😂

It is wrong to hurt your kid in anger. You can't hit your kids because you want to get rid of negative feelings but to help your kids changing their behaviour. Hitting is about love, not about violence.
So it should be a more or less symbolical penalty. An obvious disregard of the wrong behaviour of the kid.

Abuse if full on screaming and beating some one. That's not on. But I do agree with spanking. You need to show your kids that every one has limits. Thats how we all are. They can be little demons I'm sorry. That's why most kids today are the way they are. No punishments. Time outs just don't work

Kids need discipline. Verbal warnings are okay but some kids are defiant or lack self control.

A slap on the ass reminds a kind who is the boss.
