Should I make friends of the opposite sex?

I have a boyfriend... and my dad says to always keep friends (guys) just in case. But I feel morally wrong doing so because most of the time guys want a relationship or sex with me... I dont have many girl friends and today just really proved to me that i need some friends..

Yeah its good to have friends of opposite sex, I have a couple of good platonic female friends and they provide valuable guidance in life.

Its Important to set boundaries early on, make it clear you are just seeking friendship and nothing else. But having a good guy friend will be helpful.

"In case" of what? I wouldn't worry about this or do it. Not only do you not feel right about it, but your boyfriend could not like it either, so you're risking potential problems for your relationship for what? A guy friend. And lots of people believe that guys and girls can't just be friends. I personally think it's possible, but not very likely and hard to find. And like I say, the risks are too great for it I think.
