@alyssa11 Sad, that you think it is weakness, when in almost every case, "anger" comes from fear, and terror! Fear of being left alone, fear of someone leaving, fear of not knowing what to do, fear of not being a "GOOD ENOUGH" parent!
I understand, NOW, why my father was so angry with me, and my brother, one time, and we were almost killed, in an 'almost' accident that never should have been!!
He was afraid of losing us, afraid HE FAILED to teach us better, so we didn't go there!

This is something my dad taught me and I’m grateful. I used to be a really angry kid and I’d get myself in trouble all the time cause my response to things would be fuelled by anger. Responding with anger is responding in a moment of weakness. You will always make a better decision when you are calm and collected.
This is life changing advice from my dad and it seriously improved my decisions. It’s something I treasure but it doesn’t have to be something you take up.
@alyssa11 I would never presume, to counter your dad, or try to tell you how you "should live" or "should feel!!" That is not for me to say!
I would offer, however, that it would be better, to learn ways, and things about your reactions, so that you don't GET TO ANGER, and you can control your responses, and feelings, without getting to a point that it might be a problem.
