In Southeast Asia it's not our culture to move out of our family for us family is everything and there's no such thing as "moving out" plus it's too expensive to live alone in this crisis unless you're rich
with most of my friends married or living with a girl, unmarried, but in a serious relationship.. and me being an only child, id have to live on my own, if i moved out. and i DO NOT WANT TO LIVE ALONE
I've been watching too much travel channel recently.

I'm in my 30s and living with parents, in UK.
It is hard to rent alone here too, unless you earn very good money and have great credit score or OK to live somewhere, where nobody wants to live...
As a lot of low IQ people concerned: I do my own laundry, cook and even clean...
I moved out at 22. I had roommates. If each roommate paid 300, than 900 can cover a home mortgage. This was in the usa in the south. My husband and i were married at 24. We had our own apartment then.
Yep! But, that;s mostly due to the current state the world is in with rising inflation and COVID-19 only getting worse. It's getting harder and harder for young people to gain stability on their own without the help of family.
Even if it wasn't for Covid, Inflation, etc still nothing wrong with living with your parents as an adult as along as you help them out with bills, etc and great them well
@Steven8000 Yeah but even then they will act like they own you.. and I’m very much not okay with that. It won’t attract any potential partners. Nobody wants to get invited to your parents’ house. Zero privacy.
Yeah your right. They are all like"My home my rules," even when you are an adult. And I agree about the no privacy. What I was mainly referring to, is when people consider someone a loser for living their parents, etc. I don't agree with that.
Yes my mom and I are roommates we split everything 50/50. Rent for 1 person is too much right now you have to make 3x the amount of the rent for one person that’s ridiculous.
Having your own place is expensive and some countries it's very common the entire family lives in a house together. I lived with my parents until I was 32yrs old saving up for a house. Had my house 2yrs now living alone.

of course it's normal. A lot of people are saving money while living at home and going to school or working. It's not always possible to pay for rent on a Walmart salary, which is where a lot of people are working. So they need time to save up.

I could move out and boy do I want to. But paying rent is absolutely gross, it’s too much money being thrown away. Fuck that. I’d rather tech straight to buying a home and be the one renting it out to others.
Yeah. House prices are astronomical almost anywhere. You have to save for years before you can afford a deposit, especially if you are renting. Living with parents is by far the best way to cut costs and save money in the modern age.
Most of the people that talk smack about adults living with their parents still tend to be white people. Other racial groups don't mind at all as along as the person helps out with bills and treats them fine. Strong family bond.
Its called: lazy assholes collapsed our economy! Office work is for fags! Get a real job or stay at home. Do you know how much we spend on schools? And they suck! Do you know how much we spend on government, yup, its sucks too!

Cost of living isn’t getting any cheaper. Real estate prices are sky high. But at the same time there are lots of Peter pans and wendys out there

Yup. It's totally normal.
Maybe they don't want to leave their parents alone
Maybe they can't financially afford to move out
Maybe they just want to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Or maybe they expect the older siblings to take care of the younger siblings.
@Alwayreckles93 It could be possible ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We have a couple or more generations of people that are emotionally immature.
Look closely at the replies that make excuses. They'll all feature "it's too difficult" or "it's easier."
You're an asshole, just in case you didn't know.
I bet whatever you have was served to you on a silver platter.

No, it’s just a byproduct of liberals destroying the economy. Somebody needs to take the checkbook away from Nazi Peeloosely.

Maybe get a 4 or 6-flat, live in one free with the rent from the others' payments. Good plan!
I still live with my parents in my mid 20s, and I know many in their mid 30s who continue to do so, it's perfectly normal.
Do your parents get into your business or try to control your life?
@Alwayreckles93 for me yes my parents are like that but I live alone in studio I’ll be 24 soon
Finding a good paying job is hard and rent at least in my location is off the wall, id save nothing at all. Id be pay check to pay check
i been on my own from a super early age, i guess it is the typical norm these days. one that i will and have never had the luxury of.
It's not just financial. Stay at home you most likely don't have to do any housework, pay bills, cook, do your own laundry.
