Only sometimes. Some cases it makes sense or is cute. I remember my old dog when he was a puppy we'd go for a walk until his paws were tired then I would carry him the rest of the way home.
He'd go a little longer over time till eventually he looked to me to pick him up and I told him to walk the rest of the way because I knew he could handle it. After that day he never asked again because he knew he could handle it too.
a lot of moments like that. Like his dog bed at first was a plastic tub with towels folded up inside. I'd pick him up out of it in the morning and put him in at night. As he grew he didn't know he was big enough to get out of it himself lol. It was hilarious as he whined for help. I had him stand to his feet then lifted just his front paws out and placed them on the floor. When he felt himself standing over the wall he lifted his back legs and got put himself. Never asked to be picked up out of it again.
I wanted him to be as self sufficient as possible and only rely on me when necessary. Made him stronger because of it so he could handle himself when he got older. That's something true for people aswell. So treating your dog like a baby in the beginning makes all the sense in the world, but continuing to baby a dog as he ages to me isn't good for the dog long term and if you really love him you'll do what's best for him, letting him grow up

I think humans are weird. Treating one's dogs like babies sates an emotional drive. That's way more rational than a lot of stuff people. I think people who find this weird haven't thought about human nature enough.
This is just a gain of sand on a beach.
I feel sorry for the animal. As people doing this are doing more damage than good. In general it ruins proper socialization, etc. for the dog.
While like a senior parent a senior dog or pet has to exercise even if it's to the end of the block and back. By being driven around in a stroller the dog can't exercise, its muscles of course begin wasting, and because of this the arthritis or joint problems it has only get worse. Not to mention if the diet isn't adjusted it'll get fatter and put more strain on its joints, develop weight related issues such as diabetes or heart problems.
I've had old dogs, the last two both well into their teens, and never once considered this.
I mean the rocker does seem like a bit much... I would have recommended a wagon instead to pull her around in, lol.
I love dogs more than kids as well, and if I had dogs, they probably would be spoiled rotten! So I don't see the issue with it. A dog is just like a child really; I don't care what anyone else. Only difference is unfortunately, they don't live as long as a human child. Oh, and thankfully, they can't talk back (LOL).
I wouldn't care what anyone thinks. If you're happy and your dogs are happy? That's all that matters.

Take your older dog for shorter walks, and let them rest as you finish walking the younger one.
Your older dog deserves the joy of their paws carrying them as much as they can without pain, and the dignity of still being able to rest when they need.
I know it sucks to think of your pup getting older, but at this point they need you to be there for them, to comfort them. And your young dog still needs to be adequately walked.I think is very whird, it still an animal no mather what you feel for it.
Is not a baby who will live longer then you and suport you because what you did for him.
As an animal it can only give you some little moral suport and happines in exchange of food and petting. It’s super weird to me. I have cats and I’ve never called them my children and I absolutely adore my pets. I find it super odd when people refer to themselves as the mother/father of their pets. And when they say they have a daughter/son, but it’s their pet! I don't know if it’s a white people thing, but I’ve noticed it mostly with white folk.
No. It’s not because pets are as big of a responsibility as much as having a child there part of your forever family. You love them, you take them to the vet when they get sick, you cry if anything happens to them.
nah if anything there kind sadness there, most of the timeit bc they heart miss something others have that maybe they don't love a family, someone to turn too. if anything people should stop with this what normal whatwired but ask the people if they like to be friends
Yes it’s weird but it’s ok
Weird is it bad
Weird is weird
Bad is bad. English is so simple hahaTo me anyone who likes dogs are weird. But for the sake of argument ignoring that, hmm not really people naturally have parental affection in them so therefore not having kids to spend that one can easy adapt to be spent on pets.
lol, well it's far better than the opposite. Some people treat their animals horribly!
Not necessarily. I do have a bunch of kids but I understand when people are unable to have children themselves so they adopt dogs. They’re great pets, honestly.
yes they are not babies and should not be treated like they have completly different needs also if your dog is pain while walking take her swimming that will give her exercise and lessen the load on joints
Ok well obviously they are similar to babies in a sense that they constantly need attention, food, and affection, but putting your dog in a stroller is borderline psychotic.
Treating them like actual babies? Yeah, that's crazy.
They're dogs, not babies.
Doesn't mean you cannot show them love.no. animal pups are cuter and less annoying than human pups.
No, I admire it. Besides, flaws make beauty. Not that this is one. I don’t like how people (humans in this case) refer to animals as it and treat them like an it. Your bed is an it. Your cat (or any other animal wild or not) is NOT an it.
Not realy I mean my dog is a little big to be treated like a baby but I do love my dog as if it was my own child.
In animal world love and affection of parents ends at some point. That's why dogs who are treated permanently like children start attempts to dominate their owners.
Some people become really attached to their pets. I had two cats and they were like family members.
If it makes you happy who cares? What is normal what isn't? As long as you're not hurting anyone else it's all good.
No, i think they are the most kindest people. Cause nowadays humans doesn't even respect each other.
and if you're showing affection for animals that's means you are one of nice person.Yes it is a bit weird. You can love your pet immensely but it is still not a human!
