Yeah I know it’s annoying, my parents are the same way. I’m trying to write 5 books at the same time and my parents both yell at me for doing nothing all day cause they don’t know I’m an author. If I delay going downstairs for 2 minutes to scribble notes for my book, I get yelled at for wasting their time and I get yelled at if I wait until the news is over to wash dishes cause I don’t want to miss the news stories.

I sometimes ask nicely, other times I say, "I need you to _____." When I'm really over-the-top aggravated I say, "You need to ______!"
Only with my kids. I have never ever ever ever ordered my husband around. Never. My kids complain, "What about Dad?" I remind them that I am their mother and not his.
My late Mom use to order us, kids, around, Like we had a Maw n Paw store up the hill she would go and get milk, and one time on her way home the milk fell and went all over the road, yes I miss her

and well, we should respect em and give them as much as we could and do as much as we can as long as they're here. because thats what they used to do to us when we were kids, they were the ones taking care of us even if they didn't want to, they had to.
Nobody loves you like your mother does. They know all the buttons to push, good and the annoyingly frustrating. Enjoy her while she is still fit and healthy enough to frustrate you.
My mother has passed on so I will say that I do not like being ordered around by my wife.
Yes my mom can't accept that im not under the age of 18. A lot of the parents in the south here still try to run their kids no matter how old and not matter if you live with em or not.

My mom is 104, I am 76. She gave up ordering me around 60 years ago.
That's pretty much the exact opposite of my mom, so I'm lucky in this respect. My mom is fairly nonchalant

When my mom was alive and I lived at home she used to order me around. Not all the time though. She would ask nicely once in awhile
