I never knew this was a controversial subject. I grew up kissing my parents or family on the lips as a young girl. I kissed my son on the lips as a young child and same with my daughter. What's disturbing to me is people who really think a peck on your child's lips from a parent is wrong because it's associated as an intimate act between 2 people. It also disturbs me when people turn something so beautiful and innocent into something dirty. Why don't we just not hug our kids either since hugging can be associated as an intimate act between two people too?

  Didn't mess my oldest up when he started dating. As a matter of fact his opinion is he doesn't plan to kiss his kids on the lips when he has them. And I told him that's fine because it his kids and his right to choose. But he doesn't judge me that I'm ok with it. At least when they are little and love to give sweet kisses and hugs to mom and dad. So you're wrong that it messes kids up.

  He has no memory of it. He heard about people getting in an uproar about some dad that kisses his kids on the lips. And he thought about it and said he's not going to do it. That's it.
  
  That's when I told him he use to kiss his family as a small child. And guess what? He wasn't traumatized by it. Because I raised him to not sweat the small stuff and don't go through life thinking you're a victim of everything.

  We'll have to agree to disagree. And I've never seen anyone say sleeping with my cousin is ok. Incest is wrong. And incest has to do with sex unlike an innocent peck to show love.
